Lend4Health.org is a grassroots charitable initiative aimed at enabling the autism/biomedical community to help itself fund the necessary treatments related to autism recovery. On Lend4Health.org, relatives, friends, other biomedical families, and even strangers can make small, interest-free "micro-loans" for families seeking biomedical treatments (e.g., DAN! doctor appointments, lab tests, supplements, HBOT dives). When the requested loan amount is collected, the family receives the loan and uses it to pursue treatment. The family then pays it back interest-free over time, and the lenders receive their original loan amount back. The lender then can pocket the money, or re-loan it to another family.

To date, more than $20,000 in microloans have been collected for forty-two (42) loan requests on Lend4Health.org. Thirty-nine (39) loans have been funded, and eleven (11) have been been fully repaid. Ninety-six percent (96%) of the loan repayment installments due have been made; no loans have defaulted. 

As a charitable initiative in the start-up phase, funding to maintain and grow the program is needed. Basic maintenance costs of the Lend4Health.org initiative include those for PayPal fees, communications (telephone, postage, Internet), website (URL registration), and time & effort of one staff member. Costs also have been incurred to establish Lend4Health as a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization. Potential costs to grow the initiative would include those needed for web development, public relations, conference attendance, and additional staff members.

The Lend4Health Community believes in the potential of Lend4Health to bridge the gap for many families struggling to find options to fund their biomedical treatments. Not only does Lend4Health offer a dignified, practical, simple, and fee-free way to get early intervention treatments, but it also fosters a feeling of "good will" and "good karma" among the biomedical community. With Lend4Health, the small contributions of many are combined with others to positively impact one family, then they are repaid and re-circulated to potentially benefit thousands of families seeking treatment.

Through this petition, we urge the for-profit corporate members of the biomedical autism community to support the continued maintenance and future growth of Lend4Health.org. With your help, families will be able to help themselves afford to seek treatment through your products and services.
