Stop George's Eviction

Let George Stay

Target:
Town Village Retirement Community, Tulsa, OK

George, has lived with his loving companion for nearly 5 years at Town Village Retirement Community.  He has given smiles and warmth to all that have crossed his path. Residents in the community know him by name and look forward to seeing his sweet face and being able to pet or walk him. Just recently a complaint was made to management about his size. Without hesitation management has given George 2 weeks notice that he must leave his loving companion of 10 years. Please sign this petition in favor of George and his elderly companion so that they might stay together and continue to bring not only companionship & love to one another but to many others who have come to know and love him in the community. I will post a picture as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support.

We the undersigned believe pets are family. Sometimes they can be someone's only family. They bring spiritual comfort, warmth and unconditional love to those who care for them. It is for this reason we feel it is important for the elderly who chose to live in an assisted or unassisted retirement commnity to be allowed to keep their pet if they are able to care for them regardless of their weight or size. I say, if it is possible, the bigger the dog, the bigger the heart. Let him stay. Thanks

love comes in all sizes, and can't be diminished by physical attributes.

I have 4 old dogs, mid sized. Take them from me and I would die alone from a broken heart. There's always one troublemaker in the group-don't let that one destroy the happiness of the many.

Is it fair?

To shorten two lives? A 10 year old Golden is an elderly dog and won't do well without his owner. His owner probably won't do well without George either....

Big Dog, Big Heart!

Why should size matter when the soul is what should matter?

People have longer life expectancies when they allow an animal/pet touch their hearts. They have lower blood pressure and stimulated brain activity. Maybe you need to allow this guy to touch your life.

If a pet is well mannered, size should be of no consequence. Especially, an older more mature companion is just that - a companion that nutures the soul. Stop punishing these peole for loving and being loved by one of the most docile and loving of canines although a larger breed.

It is a well known medical fact that pets keep seniors alive much longer than normal. My dad was living proof. This is just wrong for everyone but especially the dog and owner. Please check with doctors and they will tell you what you are doing is taking years away from them both.

dog or cat size has nothing to do with love and companion ship. Little dogs get stepped on and the elderly fall over them when they don't see them. Little dogs want so much attention, they get in your way on purpose. Cats get out of the way. That is like saying you only want little people in your area (which I AM) and it is discrimination, plain and simple. Obviously, you know nothing about animals of any size.

The size of the dog doesn't matter as long as the animal is well-behaved and not threatening in manner or actions.

Size should not matter, pet therapy companions come in all sizes....larger dogs sometimes work better because they can reach out to the elderly by just putting their faces in their laps instead of the seniors having to bend over to touch a smaller dog. I have two golden Retrievers and size definitely does not, and should not make a difference. the bond that has formed between these two should not be broken.

The size of the dog should not matter. As long as the dog is good.

God makes dogs in all sizes. Just like people. Size should not matter.

Why would you force someone to give away their companion of 5 years? This is an outrage because this person has no choice if they want to continue living in this facility! This animal is all this person has left in their life. Where is your heart? Where is the milk of human kindness? There isn't any I assume.
