the Boreal Forest/ Quota on Logging

Wood is harvested in nearly 60% of the continuous boreal forest  in other words, over an area of 320,000 km2. Harvesting of the continuous boreal forest north of the 49th parallel generates some 11.7 million cubic metres of wood each year, or nearly 53% of Qu%uFFFDbec total production. 

At that rate of cutting will there be a boreal forest for our children and grand-children ?

Let us be ''trail blazers'' by stopping this large scale cutting of our Naturel resource, let us give a heritage for those to come and protect it by a quota  of at least half of what it is now.
