Limit the number of Children you can have on welfare and drug testing for those receiving

Target:
USA
Sponsored by:
I think we should limit the number of children someone can have and collect welfare. I also support drug testing for those receiving welfare. We are not helping when we keep supporting people who have no intention of getting a job and paying for their own children. I think the sooner we put a stop to this practice the better off everyone would be. What encourages these people to get off welfare and take care of themselves? A free check and food stamps, free medical care seems to be the norm for these people. STOP, get a job, stop having children if you can not afford to do so. I say enough already. I am tired of supporting people who just keep reproducing with no regards to who is picking up the tab...US THE TAXPAYERS!!!!

I agree that if you receive government benefits you should be required to have drug testing, and be limited to one child until you can get off of the system. Why the government continues to provide incentives for people to have as many children as they can into dysfunctional households that they cannot afford is beyond me. Instead people should receive incentives for completing job training, going back to school, and getting off the system.

I think that it would help the government to keep there finances in order, due to not giving everyone medicaid... Exspecially those who keep having children for the tax money and so they can also get medical coverage.

We need to make sure the system is not being abused. We need tighter rules. We are not pushing people to make a change we are just letting learn to be bums.

I'm not one to discriminate against others, but what I see as the major problem is the children born to welfare individuals who are obviously unable to provide for themselves much less the children, and the children are the ones who live in proverty and often times repeat the pattern the parents model.

Its so annoying that people who are on welfare are the best dressed and have iphones and go on the best Vacations. When you can't make ends meet that is not what you do!

Enough is enough. It is about time we all speak out and stop the free handouts. Enabling does not help. I agree to this whole heartedly.

I'm a mother of 4 and if i do agree, we should limit how many kids we have, because times are very hard. I'm not wealthy but i do have a descent job and are able to get by with supporting my kids. I totally agree, the government makes it so hard for the ones that at least try to help themselves. The state i live in government system wont even help a parent that has a job already with childcare expenses for they are able to keep their job. They put you on the waiting list but the ones that dosnt work is able to go apply and they immediatley provide that person with childcare. how freaking backwards is that.I just don't understand

I never realized how bad thing were until I started to work at a bank! Yesterday I had a customer come in to cash SSI checks. One for each one of her kids (4 with one more on the way); one for her; and her boyfriend was getting a cash advance to get the money off of his unemployment card to deposit into his account. Already pissed off because she is getting paid more than I make in two months to top it off she has new high lights, her nails are you guessed it acrylic and her children looked like they haven’t gotten a bath in days. Oh wait I forgot to mention how stoned the cute couple was. Other than the fact that they reeked of marijuana the guy forgot he had a joint behind his ear!!! Are you @#%@$^#$%!#$% kidding me?! This has to stop!!

Let's just get rid of welfare all together. If these lazy asses get off their asses and get a job, the tax revenue increases and the crime rate goes down, because they are off the streets, not selling their food stamps and money from welfare for drugs.

This place is overpopulated, and enough is enough. That goes for you people who can afford to have more than one, as well. One is more than enough! If you want another one, adopt.

People should not be rewarded for having children they can not afford and the taxpayers have to pay the bill against their wishes. The taxpayers should not have to support wowen that continually produce babies and unable to provide support. I can see making one, maybe two MISTAKES, BUT no more then two.

For more impact, add a personal comment here. Human over- population is the main reason for global warming. There should be a law or license for human breeding. There has to be quality not quantity. There are too many humans suffering that do not deserve this treatment. With the financial situation facing the world, a decrease in human breeding is essential. There are too many children out there that would love to be adopted into loving homes. If you must have a child, think of adoption first. We need to consider the ceasing of human breeding for the next ten years. The Earth can no longer support us all, we are raping our Mother and her resources.

I pray they put this law into effect over here in the United States. For too long women have been sitting on their lazy asses having kids and expect for someone else to take care of them. I'm sick of it. If we could reduce the amount of money spent on caring for kids that families have in excess, we would not be in a recession.

It's about time this free ride stopped! Taxpayers are tired of supporting these bums-they keep having kid after kid while the government continues to pay them for it! This is ridiculous!!!! Spend our money somewhere else-on seniors and disabled people who really need it not the young who are steady milking it for all they can get!!!!

I think that people who are on welfare just to collect money and sit on their butts are pitiful! If you have a disability and CANNOT work, then I can understand. But if you just don't feel like getting a job and you just want to laze around all day, that makes me sick truly. We need to strengthen welfare for people who actually NEED IT!

It is long past time to limit the number of children you can have on welfare and definitely need drug testing. I am sick and tired of my tax dollars going for people who don't want to work. I have worked all my life and still am at 80. We need to stop these entitlements, except when really deserved. You are not helping these people but contributing to a bad lifestyle. They wind up having no self respect, hence more crime. This country is becoming a welfare nation bailing out companies that brought on their own demise and giving to ILLEGALS who think they are entitled too. It is a sad state of affairs and needs to stop. I believe in helping and have always given to charities who help people in trouble through no fault of their own.

A taxpayer who has to spend 10 hours a weekday away from my children to feed, cloth, provide an education, live paycheck to paycheck etc.

As well, there should be a mandatory medical procedure for removal of reproduction systems for people who are on welfare who have met their limit on number of children. If you can't afford to have children then you shouldn't be allowed to have them! Besides, there are so many children in adoption centers needing a home.

I am a social worker for a non-profit agency who services children and families. I see very single day reasons to limit the number of children people have. I also see reasons to try and stop certain people from ever procreating at all! I am sick and tired of footing the bill for irresponsible people. Not to mention the fact that schools are becoming overcrowded in my communities and no one is passing any levies because they are sick of paying for other children's educations as well. Child-bearing is becoming an epidemic in this country because people are greedy. Lets try to put an end to this nonsense!

Limit? How about make birth control shots mandatory? No children born under welfare! I should not have to pay for your medical care or the expenses associated with caring for a baby if you are collecting welfare.

ACTUALLY ONE IS TOO MANY FOR THIS POOR OVERBURDENED PLANET. WE SHOULD BE LIMITING ALL PEOPLE AND DENYING ANY TO THOSE THAT HAVE SERIOUS GENETIC (MENTAL OR PHYSICAL) PROBLEMS TO CUT DOEWN THE EXPENSE, AND STOP THE UNNECESSARY SUFFERING OF ANY MORE INDIVIDUALS.

We have six children. Ranging in ages 32-17.Soon to be 7 grandchildren. all are loved but all know the value of a dollar.as well as working for one. I do agree that "life-time" government-aid / welfare / FREE-RIDE on WORKING New Yorkers needs to stop!!! How many ads on television / mailing do you see in reguards to hungary children in the USA? Supposedly we don't have any. Because our government MAKES each and all pay for what they should do. (feed, house, look after mostly LOVE) their children. I feel that if we can limit the generation welfare it would do wonders. Up scale gas, milk taxes in general would be better and not affect us as they do now.

I've worked hard all my life to raise my 2 kids. I received help one (1) time to get me back on my feet. I think Government Aid is for people like me. I got back to work, pay my taxes to help support others who take advantage of the help. We need to do SOMETHING. We are sure NOT doing them any favors, we are only hurting them by allowing them to continue.
