We the citizens of the Fond du Lac School District are asking our local school board for a change in policy in how literature is selected in our schools.  We ask for a committee to read and select books for our children.  We also ask for a book content rating system to be put into place.

We the undersigned do hereby ask for a change in school board policy in how literature is selected in the Fond du Lac School District.  A committee made up of concerned citizens, along with teachers could read books and be a part of the decision making as to what literature is selected with our tax dollars.  We also ask for a book content rating system, so that students, parents, and teachers are forewarned of a books' mature content before one even opens the cover.
