Looking for Our Pagan Rights as Humans

Target:
General Community
Sponsored by:

Have you ever been thrown out of a community because you were Pagan? Many people around the world suffer from people disliking them because of a misconception about their religion. Many people think that we as Pagans practice "Black Magick", sacrifice other peoples livestock and do more terrable things like that. This is a total misconception that needs to stop. I am urging you to sign this petition so that we can ask of the community to rid themselves of this terrable misunderstanding, and open their minds to what we have to say. Please sign this petition for the better of the earth as a whole.

It does get a little irritating always having to look over your shoulder to make sure that there are no hunters behind you, just because you follow a different path. I would love to wear some of the pagan shirts that are on the market...but if I do, I know I will be beat. As I have stated to many friends...We must stand together and fight this discrimination!!! There are more of us than what they think!!!

As with everything else where people are persecuted and unfairly judged, ingorance and fear are at the heart. It is easier to condemn those for what they do not understand than to open their eyes and educate themselves. Not to mention, in doing so, they go against what they themselves claim and preach - judging others. They need to leave that to the God they worship as they are supposed to.

Freedom of religion, i do believe. People fear what they do not know. Pure ignorance on their part. All religions have RIGHTS!!!!! I do know a little about yours . Go forth, I say!!! Good Luck!!! :-)

I am Pagan. My religion is founded in Pantheism. And some would still be frightened of my religion. I pity their ignorance, but also fear it, for those ignorant people are the ones in power.

Paganism is a benign & positive religion. Yes, RELIGION. I often hear the term pagan used when heathen, immoral, or amoral is actually the proper word. Pagans are good people practicing a good religion, and they should be allowed to do so without judgement & discrimination. (I'm Buddhist, by the way!)

People are afraid of what they don't understand. Instead of getting information, they judge on what they have heard. Let me see, what is is that the Christian Bible says, "Judge not least ye be judged". Go figure. Whatever happended to freedom of religion?

Pagans are very peace loving and respect others and the world around us. We do not worship the devil, we don't even BELIEVE in the devil!!! We wish to spread peace and understanding amongst ourselves and others.

I find most pagan religions to be very kind and respectful. I think it's sad how little understanding people have to anyone different then them. I also think there should be more visibility towards people of pagan faiths. It seems they are completely ignored by everyone other than Televangelists. =(

I am not a Pagan, but I am an Ošinist, an Asatruar and a damn proud one at that. I wear my Thor's hammer everywhere I go for I do not fear religious persecution, it is my blood rite to wear the symbolism of my people, and nor should you all be afraid to do such a thing either. Be proud of who you are, and fight for your right to Religious Freedom, Let us get this petition signed off and make a move towards ending such ridiculous perceptions, we want peace just as much as any one else, however that does not mean we won't fight for it. this is for all religions per say to be fair, but most importantly to me, my Heathen brothers and sister, the Pagans, Wiccans, Asatruars. You have my vote.
