Target:
Citizens of the USA
There is a crying need for major dental care for innumerable American citizens
of all ages--especially seniors--who find themselves "falling through the cracks." These individuals--making too much to qualify for medicaid but not receiving sufficient salaries or social security benefits (medicare, etc.), in order to afford the oftimes astronomical dental fees--are losing their smiles, due to missing & rotting teeth!

Medicare needs to be improved and expanded to provide all basic medical needs (remove the Medicare age restrictions) such as dental care, vision, hearing,& podiatry. Obama & Congress need to stand up for the American people, and support true health care reform that will provide health care as a human right for all American citizens. It is about time they take on the industries that have caused so much misery for the American people, and tell them to take a hike. Not for profit health care. Support Single Payer NOW!

All of the bills being considered by the Democratic leadership are essentially bailouts for an insurance industry that supports the campaigns of too many Senators who are drafting health “reform” legislation. The health insurance industry never has and never will agree to true reform. They must be ousted from their place from the table. Any legislation produced with their cooperation will be thoroughly corrupted by their influence. We need and deserve real health care reform, not more of the same failed policies that will be another windfall for these parasitic industries. Full comprehensive health care, including dental care, vision and hearing, along with alternative therapies. Single Payer. No phony forced insurance schemes.

Expand and improve Medicare to include such basic services like dental, vision, and hearing. No one should have to suffer with an infected tooth, or broken tooth due to lack of financial resources. Nor should people have to end up losing their teeth because of this injustice. What kind of a country is this? It is long overdue that the US which prides itself as being number one, catch up with the rest of the world in providing US citizens quality health care as a human right. Slash the bloated military budget, and crack down on Wall Street hustlers, and medical fraud, all of which would more than pay for comprehensive health care. Not to mention the fact that a Single Payer system would save more than $400 billion a year in administrative waste, CEO salaries, advertising, and costs that have nothing to do with providing health care.

I am disabled & can not afford dental services & my teeth are breaking off to level with my gums & some old fillings have fallen out so now have big rotten hole in teeth & in pain all the time. I have heart trouble, diabetes, blood clotting disorder, high blood pressure and digestive health problems and the condition of my teeth worsens my health conditions & my health problems worsen my teeth. Please help me I only receive $723.00 a month disability then I have rent utilities to pay medicine, groceries & gas to back forth to dr. I barely make ends meet. I do not have any extra money after I pay bills.

I agree. I have two aging parents and my father has gone without false teeth because of the out-of-pocket expense. Therefore, his diet has limitations because he cannot chew! Decay and rotten teeth effect the physical health of our bodies! An abcessed tooth puts poison into the bloodstream. American peoples need a government funded Dental Care Plan!

It's really sad that so few feel it is an important enough issue to warrent their signatures. We will all grow older and dental issues will only get more costly but insurance companies and government agencies refuse to increase what they feel should be paid for opting instead for tooth extractions for everybody who cannot afford the very expensive cost of keeping your teeth. Who really gives a care about an older person's dental health? Not California!!!

also eye care. obama and the democratic party are scamming the public while pretending to promote national health care but cutting these things and others from medicare, etc. while continuing to enrich corporations and outsourcing to china and other countries. US citizens better figure out that the gov of the us has been by the rich, for the rich and of the rich and the democrats and republicans are just their right and left hands.
