Make Carole Lepalme Accountable for Animal Cruelty

Make Carole Lepalme Accountable for Animal Cruelty

Target:
Quebec Criminal Court System
Sponsored by:

Carole Lepalme, a Quebec puppy mill owner should be made legally accountable for breaking the law, under animal cruelty.

*** In September 2008, Ms. Lepalme had 157 dogs removed from her care by the Montreal SPCA on the grounds of animal cruelty. All 157 dogs took residence in one house where they were packed in crates, dog runs and wire cages. They were found extremely malnourished, dehydrated, over bred, infested with worms, untreated open wounds on their bodies and some were even found dead on site.

We have started this petition because Carole Lapalme, the puppy mill owner, will be back in criminal court December 17th, 2008 in Montreal and is pleading not guilty to animal cruelty.  Carole Lepalme is requesting that the dogs be returned to her. Something has to be done to stop these dogs from being put back under the care of this person. Quebec is known as the animal cruelty capital of North America, and is the home of over 2000 puppy mills. You can make a difference, do not let these helpless animals return to a desolate life without care, food, space, companionship or freedom.

Please do not return these dogs to Ms. Lepalme or the third party registered on her behalf. These pups have just had enough time to get healthy and trust again - please do not commit an unjust act by returning them to such an uncaring and harmful environment. Release them to the rescue groups who will take good care of them and find loving homes for these wonderful dogs.

We need stronger laws in Quebec toward animal cruelty. Fines are not the answer, people need to be held criminally responsible for their actions.

I just can begin to understand how man can be so cruel towards nature's most beautiful creatures. Rambo, my dog, is my angel.

It is our responsibility as humans to protect those who are dependent upon us for their care. The horrific violation of this responsibility, whether it applies to children, the elderly, or animals is beyond comprehension. A monster such as Carole Lepalme is no different than a Clifford Olsen, a Sadam Hussein, or an Adolf Hitler. Anyone capable of inflicting such heinous cruelty on vulnerable beings, will stop at nothing. Please do whatever is necessary to show monsters such as this that crimes such as the ones that Carole Lepalme committed, and will continue to commit if allowed, will not be tolerated by society as a whole. We are better than this. It is our duty to ensure she never has the opportunity to commit these atrocities again.

I think it is disgusting that someone like Mrs. Lepalme could think that her behaviour is somehow justafiable. She should not be allowed to have her dogs back. Dogs should have the same rights that people do. They should be protected from such violence. There are many people in the wolrd willing to give those animals a loving home which they deserve. Mrs. Lepalme should be sentenced to a significant amount of jail time.

This woman should definitely not be allowed to keep any type of animal ever again. Lets hope the courts will see sense.

It is unimaginable that someone who can treat animals as she did could have them returned to her. What type of society are we that would hand back these poor helpless animals to someone who clearly has no respect for human nature. She should be treated exactly the same way she treated these animals for a while to see how she likes it. She deserves to be fined an amount that would clearly bankrupt her, thrown in jail for a few years, and never ever allowed again to own animals of any kind. And I am sure there are some of us that would like to have a few moments alone with her......

People like this need to be held accountable for the crimes they have commited. they know what they are doing is wrong and cruel and they just dont care. Once one person is punished, others will open their eyes and get scared and know that ppl are watching. You just need to look at the kijiji.ca ottawa site, you can see which ppl in QC, are mills, they have more then 30 pups posted at one time indication the parents are on site, but they dont tell you they are on site locked in little cages crying out for help.
