MAKE IT COMPULSORY TO HAVE A LICENSE TO OWN ANY ANIMAL TO HELP MONITOR ANIMAL CRUELTY

We feel that it should be compulsory to have a license to own an animal (any animal)  in the UK, to help monitor animal cruelty. We also believe that before you can obtain this license you must be given correct advice on how to look after the animal and what the animal needs. Then you must agree that you have understood the information that you have received verbally and in ways of advice leaflet or book on how to look after your animal correctly. Then sign to say you received the information both verbally and in written form and also agree that you understand the punishment (which should be prison for all animal cruelty cases) that is given for not carrying out the given information correctly or for any animal neglect or cruelty. If you own an animal without a license then this also should receive a punishment. Animal Cruelty needs to be stamped out. Make this compulsory!
This is a serious issue. The public have spoken. Animal cruelty is looked upon far to lightly and this needs to change. Please make it compulsory to have a license to own an animal in the UK. This will help monitor animal abuse and neglect and help stop animals being so vunerable.

This is the voice of the people! This is what we want!
