Animals are forced to live in cages with little food and water and no medical care. Then they are killed cruelly, and all for the sake of money! The fact that puppy mills exist completely disgusts me. I'm aware that there are people out there who can be considered "not dog people" but there are also a great percentage who love them. The should not be raised in such a matter, it is ridiculous.

I have been disturbed by puppy mills for a long time, but an episode of animal cops philidelphia was on tonight and investigating puppy mills and i was in tears, how it it right for any of these animals to be treated this way, good people like us need to help save them!

Please put an end to the cruel practice of puppy mills. Having been involved in dog rescue for a number of years, I have seen first hand the devastating results. The puppy mill dogs are simply a "cash crop" They almost always have medical issues that go untreated. They are crowded together in cages, forced to live in their own urine and poop. They do not know the feel of grass beneath their feet or a kind touch. Human contact is minimal and so they are poorly socialized. Also, often they are "debarked" in the cruelest of manner with a pipe shoved down their thoat without benefit of a vet or anesthesia. Ears and tails are cut as well without benefit of a vet or anesthesia. Please put an end to puppy mills and let's act as a civilized nation and support compassion and kindness to all living creatures. Thank you for your consideration and action on this urgent matter.

I recently adopted a pug even though it was not from a puppy mill, the owner basically treated her the same, she was breed to soon and was kept in her crate for hours and hours which left her having kidney, bladder and fungus infections. I hope that enough people will sign this petition because these animals have no voice and we are the only ones that can help stop this cruelty with our voice and signatures!

Working with Florida Boxer Rescue, we have seen our fair share of purchases from Puppy Mills (that often end in letters to us wanting them rehomed NOW) always displacing a rescue in need. Banning of Puppy Mills would help insure healthy dogs from RESPONSIBLE breeders. |

It was so horrifying, I would not forward the email to certain of my friends. I am actively involved in rescue, and will do whatever is in my power, to stop this cruelty. If people knew that there are currently 300 surrenders daily, at the county "kill shelter", maybe they would open their eyes to the need to spay and neuter their animals.
