Make the Deparment of Health in charge of the scheduling of drugs and not the DEA!

Let the people in charge of public health be in charge of putting restrictions on already FDA approved drugs.  It's not up to the DEA to oversee how effective Methadone is at treating addition as well as moderate to severe pain.  It is an extremely good drug at treating pain, but doctors are scutinized for prescribing such a TABOO type drug.  That was it's original intention anyways. Pleae help us allow more doctors to be able to prescribe it without the DEA breathignso heavily down there throat that they won't prescribe it anymore and definitely to the people who need it most.  It's espcially bad here where I live in Tennessee, but we can change tjhat.  Let the Department of Health and Human Services put resrictions on a medication that has been around for over forty years now and is completely safe as  long as taken as prescribed.
