making Marijuana legal in North Carolina

Marijuana should be made legal, because the money saved from not chasing after potheads would help us out greatly. Think about the money from taxing it from selling it in the stores, selling it at pharmacy's, and from selling growers cards for the people who want to grow some themselves.  Also the laws against marijuana are based on lies, racism, and false info. There are more deaths from Alcohol than marijuana, people can drink and get violent and hurt people but never has this happened with marijuana. It's time for us to have the right to choose a safer way to relax, not everyone wants to drink alcohol and get addicted to something that is going to rip their body apart. It is also sad the way alcohol is made to look so good when in fact it is worse then some of the other illegal drugs, like getting over alcohol addiction is worse than getting over heroin abuse.
Just with that why is alcohol OK, but marijuana is not? Also think about how it would free up our court systems and jail, and prison systems. Who wants to pay for a new prison or jail? Let the marijuana users out and put the rapist, Child molesters, and murders in jail. Those are the people who need to be in jail, because most of the time someone who has raped a child or a woman, or even a small boy, or man, most of the time  that person will commit this horrible crime again, and again. Like someone who murders most of the time they will do it again as well (but there are times where the person may not have had any other choice) in those cases should be looked at and reviewed. With marijuana legal our court systems would better be able to handle the real crimes that are going on in this country.
