Man Punishes Dog By Drilling Hole In His Head

Target:
Bristol GA 17 - Criminal Court Case
I didn't think things like this happened HERE....there are bad, cruel people everywhere.  It's not simply enough to be sorry for punishing an animal with a power drill.  Baby's life was worth more than a misdemeanour.  Let's make sure he gets the max for what he did.

PLAINVILLE, Conn. --
A man drilled holes in a pit bull's head as punishment for biting his son, police in Plainville said.   Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Hena Daniels reported authorities euthanized the pit bull, named Baby, on Monday.   Man Accused Of Drilling Dog's Head (WARNING: Explicit Pictures) According to Plainville police, Severino Cruz, 32, drilled several holes in the dog's head using a power drill after the dog bit Cruz's 8-year-old son earlier in the day. Plainville police said two brothers are being charged in the incident.  "Severino Cruz left work upon discovering his son had been bit. He went back to the household and, in a fit of rage, grabbed a power drill and drilled the dog that bit this son ... in the head several times," Plainville police Capt. Peter Costanzo said. "He then went to the hospital to see his son."  Police said the chain of events unfolded on Sunday when Cruz's brother, Enrique, the owner of the dog, was watching his nephew, Nick.  Baby somehow got out of a cage in the basement and bit the 8-year-old in the arm. Nick was rushed to an area hospital and was released a short while later.   When officers got to the house, they found another dog -- a 4-month-old puppy, police said. Both dogs were malnourished, unlicensed and not vaccinated, police said.  "The sanitary conditions were terrible in the home and that dog was also taken and placed in the pound," Costanzo said.  Police said Severino Cruz later told investigators he was very sorry for what he did. He remains in police custody.  The other dog, named Coffee, is up for adoption at Plainville Animal Control.

Thank you all for signing. Mr. Cruz will be back in court on March 11th. The prosecuter is now charging Mr. Cruz with a felony which holds stiffer penalties along with the misdemenors. I firmly believe that this happened because of all the pressure Connecticut's people (and you from around the world) are putting on the legal system here. Mr. Cruz pleaded not guilty and we all know that's not true. March 11th is a pre trial hearing and many animal rights groups will be back in court to show their support for Baby. Please Google for results of the court date on March 11th.

Thank you once again for your support!

i have dogs, and they have snipped at or bitten my kids, and yes i have punished the dog by spanking the dog. but, just like kids, never bruttaly beating them, a dog, like a child, must know what they are being punished for. even biting a child. the dog is usually trained to be that way, or provoked to act out.

IF THIS GUY DOESN'T GET SOME HARSH PUNISHMENT NEXT THING YOU KNOW ALL KINDS OF IDIOTS WILL BE DRILLING ANIMALS FOR A PASS TIME. I HOPE THAT THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM WAKES UP AND REALIZES IF THIS GUY DID THIS TO A DOG,.. WHAT DO YOU THINK HE WOULD DO TO HIS KID, WIFE, EVEN NEIGHBORS KIDS! PEOPLE WHO DO THINGS LIKE THIS SHOULD RECEIVE THE SAME PUNISHMENT, I'D BE HAPPY TO DO IT MYSELF I TOO OWN A POWER DRILL. THIS SCUM BUCKET IS NOT WORTH THE AIR HE BREATHS, BABY DESERVES IT MORE THAN HE DOES BUT OF COURSE IT IS TOO LATE FOR HER AND NOW THE SLAP TO THE WRIST IS PROBABLY ALL THAT HE WILL GET. I BELIVE IN EYE FOR AN EYE IF IT WERE THAT WAY I'M SURE PEOPLE WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE THEY ACTED. GOD DOESN'T SLEEP!

When you think you've seen the depths of depravity people can go to, you find out that some people are even more depraved. This guy needs to be punished for this crime. It would not surprise me if his son has been the victim of his father's wrath. There is an extremely high link between animal abuse and child abuse. Bring Cruz to justice!

Things like this will continue to happen as long as we let sports figures and other people of fame lead the way!!!! Punisment for abuse should be harsher. When someone treats animals like this how far of a reach is it that they don't consider doing that to humans?

DOING SUCH HEARTLESS THINGS IS NOT THE WAY TO REACT! Yes, your son was bit. So what?! This is not what you do. It's called training your dog, and have supervision around your dog and son. I am absolutely disgusted at Severino, for feeling that this was the right thing to do. WELL YOU KNOW WHAT SEVERINO? IT'S NOT. AT ALL. AND NEVER WILL BE!!!!! Taking in pets is a commitment- not some excuse to be your stress/anger ball. If you're going to have a pet, be loving to it, and feed and give it attention. DON'T KILL ANIMALS YOU IDIOT! This man needs to be punished to the maximum penalty possible. He needs to be brought to justice immediately, before he causes any more destruction to the world.
