Here is a mother dog that was taken away from a puppy mills. See the abuse and inhumane treatment?

Please Help To Stop All Puppy Mills!!

Target:
The USDA, President Obama, and to all US senators
Sponsored by:
Dogs are man's best friend right? We all love the cuteness of a new born puppy to love and to hold. Then why are we allowing these inhumane puppy mills to continue? You might think that puppy in the pet shop is adorable, but really this is where he/she could be coming from. Here are 11 well known facts about these puppy mills:
  1. Puppy mills usually house dogs in overcrowded and often unsanitary conditions, without adequate health care, food, water or human company.
  2. The breeding dogs are bred as often as possible to increase profits and probably will never see life outside their cage or the puppy mill. The owners rarely pay attention to the health or happiness of the dogs.
  3. Puppy mills often generate helath problems for the dogs they are selling. The puppies may have immediate health problems such as upper respiratory infections, or genetic diseases that show up years later.
  4. Breeding dogs suffer continuously, imprisoned in small cramped cages, often soiled with their own excrement, breeding litter after litter until their bodies simply can not reproduce any longer. Once this happens they are usually shot and killed or left to die.
  5. No states have laws against a breeding kennel legally keeping dozens of dogs in cages for their entire lives, if food, water, and shelter are provided.. However, rarely are these given.
  6. Thousands of puppy mills aren't even inspected by the USDA, since they sell them directly to public.
  7. The average puppy mill has between 65 and 75 animals housed in hutch-style cages with wire floors. The waste drops to the ground below and accumulates beneath the cage where flies, magets, and gross things fester.
  8. Dogs in puppy mills are RARELY purebreds, and the breeders sometimes lie about lineage records.
  9. Dogs housed in indoor facilities deal with equally terrible conditions, with ammonia vapors and oders permeating badly aired buildings
  10. Soiled surfaces aim to protect the legs of puppies, but as they mature and scout out their surroundinds, feet and legs aften fall through the wire floors whuch leads to infection, or loss of that limb.
  11. Unlicensed puppy mills usually sell puppies at 6 wks. of age even though federal laws prohibit licensed mills from selling puppies inder 8 wks. of age.

So please, sign this petition and help us take one more step forward to preventing this inhumane treatment of animals.

Adoption is the only way to make "Puppy Mills" a thing of the past. The president and vice-president should have done their share by adopting their puppies. The most loving, loyal dogs, I've ever been around were adoptees. My 'GrandPuppy,' Taffy...especially!

There is a website that you can purchase shirts and stickers, or just download and print a two-page document that you can give to people to help raise awareness. My puppy was from a shelter and was sick, but she got better and is the best dog ever! Had her spayed at the right time, and I wish all pet owners would do the same to prevent unwanted pups! http://stoppuppymills.org/inside_a_puppy_mill.html
