Maximum prison term for the man who kill Leo

Leo was sleeping in the grass of owners garden when he was crushed by a mowing lawn machine conducted by a neighbour. This man said he didn´t perceived the animal, but people of Cacia in this moment are great doubts, the fact is: Leo was treated in his four legs by the machines metal-plates and remained in anguish several hours, >24 hours,before rescued by animal portuguese friends. After been rescued, too late after been injured, only when the rescuers are called Leo died in Vet. This one said if the man or the owners had called earlier the animal friends, the dog could be saved. So, Leo, a gorgeous dog, died in strong pain and great suffer. It´s urgent to ask and know if thedog is murdered and/or if he died by carelessness, in order to punish who done this horrendous act.
We realize that the conviction and the sentence comes from the Court not a petition. But this case is very important to not only Aveiro/Portugal but to all other, where people have lost pets/family members to abuse. Many people are watching this case very closely. We felt that are sufficient evidence to name that man the primary suspect in the death of Leo.
With this petition , we are asking that man not only be convicted of the felony but also receive the maximum prison sentence.
We all must stick together, to STOP any and all animal abuse as well as human abuse. Laws are in place for a reason. We HAVE to step in and put a stop to all abuse when we witness it. We HAVE to be the voice for those that have no voice. We have to be the voice for those defenseless animals.
