As the mother of a fallen hero I can truthfully say that my brave son gave his life to help keep our Country safe, as he had been trained to believe. My son also loved the U.S. Army so there is no way I would disrespect what he cared about. I do feel though that it is time to make some serious plans about getting our brave troops back home with their families. We can not change these countries who have lived this way for so long..we need to use this time and money to benefit OUR country, which is in need .My heart goes out to all families who have a member deployed any where there is strife.Just remember...your brave loved one is doing their best to honor and defend us...they are every one a true HERO.

We cannot force another country to accept our democratic ways if they don't want it. We can only support their efforts to change what they wish changed. We need to come home and let the people of Iraq finish what has been started. There never is any winning in any war. We need our men at home to defend our borders and to help in times of disaster here. We need to spend our billions on our country. Education is suffering, the poor go without enough medical help and we have too many homeless which includes the veterans of this war. Please bring them home.

I am the mother of a son who is in the US Army and is about to deploy for his second tour of Iraq. I've talked to him at length about this, and our troops feel strongly about finishing their mission. However, the flip side of this involves the families of the soldiers here at home. Many are forced to use food stamps to get by. Their husbands/wives, etc. have been the main income producer. While none of us wants to see Iraq fall into the hands of insurgents who are even more ruthless than Saddam Hussein was, we also feel that more than enough time has passed and our troops need to begin coming home. Iraq's troops need to step up in a big way, and really push. We need to set a date for our troops to come home. Although it seems amazing that my son is about to deploy for a 2nd time in less than 2 years, there are troops who are on their 3rd or 4th tour. Enough is enough. We owe our troops a light at the end of the tunnel called Iraq or Afghanistan. Please, let's bring this to a close and bring our soldiers home, safe and sound.

Like you I want to see all the men home from war like any mother I can feel there pain and as a wife I can only imagine how are it is to be so long without your husband and children without their fathers . To all the men who raise their children without a mother you deserve a day of reconition and should be proud of what a great job you do.
