JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED!!

Your action made a difference!

Kristian Dennard Jackson & Decarlos Lashawn Young pled guilty yesterday to animal killing/torturing and arson of real property. In August 2010, they set a young pit bull on fire after a failed attempt at hanging her to death.

Both defendants were habitual third offenders and they pled to that as well. Young is to serve 17 months to 8 years, and Jackson is to serve 13 months to 8 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections.

They are currently scheduled to be formally sentenced on December 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. Local residents who wish to support the prosecution by attending should contact the Court as dates and times are subject to change.
