Michigan Marihuana Reform

By creating and circulating this petition I hope to encourage congress, in Michigan and all over the U.S., to reform the current laws regarding the plant known as "Marihuana" in a way that clearly distinguishes between different strains of Cannabis sativas that are bred for different purposes and that makes it legal again to possess, cultivate, and distribute strains that have less than 1% THC for industrial purposes.

We the undersigned, believers in the Earth and the Sun,

wish to liberate the Cannabis plant as an industrial crop that can replace detrimental alternatives being used today. We aim to restore the good name of the plant which was unfairly lumped together with its close relative "marihuana". We understand that Cannabis can be harvested for many, many uses and we plan to utilize the plant's fibers, oils, and seeds to solve the growing environmental issues we are faced with, but more importantly, that our children and their children and so on are going to face.

Thank you for reading and taking time to see our side. Ultimately we hope we can all be on the same side, rooting for the same team; Team Universe.
