National Give Day

  • recipient: Have Mayor Daley announce May 4th, 2010 as National Give Day.
Our goal is simple: have one day a year when people focus on giving.  Whether people give money, time, resources, or random acts of kindness, it all helps.

The purpose of National Give Day is to think of those less fortunate and to make a concerted effort to better our communities.

For the next 10 months, we will be collecting signatures online and in person to try to get Chicago's Mayor Richard M. Daley to announce May 4th, 2010 as National Give Day.

National Give Day will be the one day a year that people across the United States and world can join together to make a difference. Every person, regardless of age or income level, can have an impact, and collectively, we can have a huge impact.

We hope that National Give Day will inspire people to give back to their communities and engage with local non-profits more often throughout the year.

Our goal is to get as many schools, companies and non-profits involved as possible.

Please sign this petition to make National Give Day an official recognized day of goodwill.
