New Jersey Right to Concealed Carry.

This petition is for all gun owners and any person who believes they have the right to self defense. Change NJ's Permit to Carry a Concealed Weapon Laws and Regulations to allow law abiding citizens to "realisitcly" obtain this permit. For signs of what it really takes to get a permit in NJ, view the cases of State Vs Siccardi and State Vs Preis and Cline. Those cases are signs of what the state believes isn't "justifiable cause". This petition is needed to show our law makers and committe members that everyday citizens do have a want and need to carry. As of right now, only retired Law Enforcement Officers, Security Guards (to a degree), and some politicians/celebrities obtain the right to carry. But, do not think that just anyone would be allowed to carry. Applicants would need to go through a course and have background checks before allowing a permit to be issued. The course would teach them the laws and regulations concerning Carrying a Concealed Weapon. Before you close your mind to the thought of people carrying, do the research on it before shutting it out. Crime would decrease in this great state, if law abiding people were allowed to carry a firearm for defense. In Florida, only .02% of permit holders have had their permits revoked since 1987. Even if you do not believe in a need for yourself to carry a concealed weapon, don't take away someone else's right to self defense.
