Yes you may see his faux-fur coats on QVC... I'm sure this is how he is trying to quiet the peta demonstrators in front of his flagship 3,000 sq. foot fur boutique in new york.  Well it won't work.  Dennis Basso still makes millions globally from the slaughter of animals for their pelts/fur.  Cold hard fact is that he has been a furrier since the early 80's.  Show him that the profits he enjoys from the killing of countless animals are coming to an end.  It's not going to be easy, just read these quotes below.  No regard for where his fur and pelts come from, or for the animals that die for them.  Only that one coat could sell for $150,000.

I was drawn into the fur business ... because I loved the fact that something could cost thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars!-Dennis Basso The New York Observer

During these economic times, we wanted to take the opportunity to be noticed  to show we are here and here to stay.-Dennis Basso WWD.com

women who want something beautiful are only interested in the final product. Shes buying fashion. Shes not going into Prada and asking, Where did this come from?-Dennis Basso New York Times

We the undersigned wish to give you some food for thought about the animals who die in order for you to profit from their fur and pelts.

We understand that you currently use faux fur in some of your designs but that is simply not enough.  Seeing real fur makes us only think of blood and the painful cries from the defenseless animal it is stripped from.

You must not have a clue what goes on to produce your fur products. Uninvolved to the point that you can pretend you are not doing anything wrong?  We don't think so.  We think you know the cruel and vile ways that the animals are slaughtered for you, skinned alive in many cases.  We believe what your doing is immoral, criminal and revolting.  Have you visited your merchandise, pre-murder?  Can you tell us that the animals have passed away of old age or natural causes?  Not likely, and we can't understand why you would do this to any creature, great or small.  They don't deserve this treatment, Period.  Please wake up to the reality that what you are doing is purposefully harmful to animals and people.  Using only faux fur for your designs will not kill you.  It will on the other hand save millions of the animals you plan to slaughter for your own monetary gain.  These lives, these animals, are put here for a greater purpose and they do not belong to you.  You destroy precious life.  Crimes against humanity and against nature are not forgotten.  The sooner you change your ways, the sooner we can start to change our feelings toward you and your company.  Don't wait on this.  You have been torturing and killing animals for so long, we are not sure you will ever be anything other then the self-serving perverse individual you are now.

Honestly, we tried not be harsh in our letter, but it simply could not be avoided within this subject matter...
We appreciate you taking the time to read and process this information.
We await your - no fur policy - to begin.
