No gay marriage in New Hampshire

Ever hear ,"the squeaky wheel gets the grease"?
I'm just a middle-class Stay-at -home-mom who went web searching to help stop gay marriage in NH and found nothing but pro-gay marriage web-sites. Although I found many comments on sites from people opposing. So, there must be many other people who feel the same way I do, but just haven't voiced it enough for one reason or another.
Now, before i'm called a bigot and hate-monger, etc. I have no problem with gay couples. I have no problem with people being gay. I believe people areborn that way and that's that. However, why do you need to take the word "marriage"? To have the same word implies it's the same thing and it's NOT! 
I believe gay couples should have rights They should share health insurance, they should file taxes jointly, they should be able to make medical decisions as a couple, BUT leave "marriage" alone! It's not the same thing, it's different and should be called such!
