No to BSL in New Mexico

Senator Sue Wilson Beffort intends to propose Breed-Specific Legislation in
New Mexico effective July 2012. BSL has been statistically proven to be
ineffective, costly to taxpayers, and inconsiderate of multiple factors attributed
to causing dog bite incidents. A much better alternative would be state legislation
supporting responsible pet ownership by requiring pet owners to provide adequate, humane and responsible care and control of their pets coupled with Stricker anti-cruelty laws.

PUNISH THE DEED NOT THE BREED. Dogs are not born mean, the owner(s) make them this was.
