We oppose the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Bill because:

1. It confiscates Maori foreshore land and seabed.

2. It sets Maori a test for customary title which the Prime Minister has admitted will be near impossible to meet.

3. It demands that Maori provide free access to the foreshore and seabed, no one else.

We call upon the Maori Party to oppose this bill!
