Protect your surf spot from SUP SURFING!!!

So there have been some people saying we should "do something" about the problem instead of just nagging about it - well here is my first try...

Please sign our petition to keep your local surf spot SUP FREE!!  As well all know "SUP SURFING" is the new category in surfing.  However there is great dangers that come with this sport.  Already over crowded surf spots are being overrun by these surfers.  The problem is - those boards are dangerous!  There are 10' long 30" wide  5" thick.  That would hurt if it hit you.

There are arguments for both sides of this - however we believe that the SUP SURFING should be regulated to pre-determined locations in populated areas.  i.e. San Onofre State Beach, San Clemente CA. regualtes the "butt boarders" to a area away from the general surfing population.  This is for no other than safety.  They have paddles just like a SUP SURFER, so why do municipalities allow the SUP SURFING in populated surf spots.

In conclusion - SUP SURFING would spoil any surf spot with only 3 or 4 of them out in the line up.  They are able to get into the wave 30 - 40 yards prior to anyone else.   Which leaves the rest of the surfers in the water avoiding the big SUP boards on a regular basis.

If I missed something please let me know so I may add / edit.
