WE HAVE GOT TO TAKE A STAND! ITS UNFAIR THAT PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED A HOME IN 2008 RECEIVED THE $7,500 TAX CREDIT AND HAS TO PAY IT BACK!!!  BUT, IF YOU CLOSED IN 2009 YOU GET $8,000 AND ( YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY IT BACK !!??). THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RIGHT! HOMES THAT WERE PURCHASED IN 2008 WERE APART OF THE FAILING ECONOMY AND BAD HOUSING MARKET TOO!!!

I chose to accept the 7500.00 tax credit becasue I was under the impression it was only a one time deal.. It turned out to extend to the next year, had I known I wouldn't have to pay it back if I wait another 30 days into the next year of course I would have !! I feel like I've been played for a fool & unable to do anything about it !! Im FURIOUS over this!!

If everyone else does not have to pay back the tax credit then we should not have to either. It is only fair. The housing market was bad in 2008 also.

Although we all willingly took the $7500 credit knowing we would have to pay it back, it is annoying to know that if we had waited just a few more months, we wouldn't have to. It would be a nice to ease the burden during these difficult times.

When I found out that there is a $8000 tax credit that does not have to be paid back for home buyers this year, I was furious. It is incredibly unfair that I have to pay back the $7500 from last years program, and everyone this year got a hand out. People who bought homes last year are struggling just as much as this year. The government has to make the $7500 "loan" disappear and we should not have to pay it back.

It shouldn't be that difficult for the government to revise the repayment clause in our "tax credit". When I first heard of the $8000 tax credit that did not have to be repaid, I automatically assumed that I would not have to repay the $7500 I received. That is unbelievable. Year after year I pay taxes so millions of people can receive welfare, unemployment, and other countless free dollars. At this point, I'm better off going into foreclosure and quitting my job. I would be $7500 richer for it. Isn't that the (new) American way?

I feel that this is so wrong and will be unfair to all of of us

I am a tax paying citizen. I find this absurd that because I purchased my house a year earlier I have to pay it back!!!!

I am too personally affected by this....we took advantage of this opportunity and agreed to pay it back but then friends of ours bought a few months later and don't have to pay back and got 500 dollars more? Something isn't right here!

I totally think it not fair and think that we should not have to pay it back. and we should also get 500 dollars extra to make up for what people got in 2009.

It is not fair that this year's first time home buyers don't have to pay back the 8000 tax credit. My husband and I bought our home in 2007 when the economy was really falling apart, and now we have to pay back every cent. NOT FAIR!!!

Not its not fair at all im in the same boat and i think its wrong. I bought my house when the economy was way worse than it is now. We need to take a stand.

Single individual...in military still fighting the war along with many others whom shouldn't have to pay the credit back...only to support and be given to those whom have never (but physically and mentally able) worked a day in there life to sit back in relax because they don't want to work.

Let handicapped people with low incomes assume other peoples mortgages? refinance anybody down to the lower rate. Make a fund to make this possible or give the mortgage companies so insurance or guaranteed loans to make it desirable or profitable to make sure everyone in uUSA ONLY spends 30% of income on housing....tied to your income housing....I spend 90-100% on housing. Not sexy. Let me get stable then I'll look for play/fun/status money.
