Who Should Be Obama's Vice President?

Target:
Senator Barack Obama
Sponsored by:
Let Senator Obama know we want a VP we can believe in, a running mate that will stand up for change and will work hard to reverse the damage done by the Bush administration.

Don't leave this decision to lawyers and insiders. As Obama supporters, we have the right to speak up! Tell Senator Obama who do you think he should team up with in his bid for the White House.

Obama's potential VP list includes: Senator Biden of Delaware, Senator Bayh of Indiana, Governor Kaine of Virginia, Senator Hillary Clinton of New York, retired general Wesley Clark, the Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius, former Vice President Al Gore, Caroline Kennedy, daughter of John F. Kennedy and member of Obama's VP search team, Senator Christopher J. Dodd of Connecticut, Senator Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico, former Senator Sam Nunn of Georgia, and Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts, among others. Whom do you think he should pick?

I believe Senator Hilary Clinton would bring experience, especially White House experience to his team. Together during the primaries they rallied the whole nation, together they would have the backing of the nation and get a real mandate.

Dear Barack, Although I agree that the way politics are in this day and age is a disgrace, and it needs changing badly, the truth remains that it is now a dirty game and played for the highest stakes by the Republicans, and they have no boundries. So if you want to beat McCain and his political machine and become the next President of the US of A you have one choice and one only for your VP And that is Hillary Clinton. It's a no brainer. No one beats her in experience, bar none. Biden needs to replace Condy Rice. That is where he belongs. He would be much better utilized in that role. Please do not put another women on the ticket to 'appease' Hillary supporters. We won't bite. Thank you for your time, Sincerely, Carol Aller, activist and Ocean County DFA member.

Whether he or we want Hillary Clinton doesn't matter. If he wants to live on Pennsylvania Avenue in that lovely White House it is choose her or bust!

I think that Senator Obama should choose Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (Delaware) as the V.P. nominee. Personally I know Joe to be humble, kind, considerate, caring, a man of integrity and character, bold especially when it was not convenient, hard working and cares very much about his friends and family. One cannot go wrong with the Biden choice.

I think Senator Obama needs Hillary on his ticket because right now it surely feels like he's letting it all slip away. I don't think he can win without her help and I think he'll be a better president with her help. I honestly am going to find it difficult to vote for anyone without her on the ticket.

I would urge you to choose Tim Kane, even though Joe Biden is a fine choice as well. Mr. Kane can help deliver the large state of Virginia, as well as people on the fence who have been Republicans in the past but who are discouraged with the direction the GOP has taken.

I want Senator Hillary Clinton to join him on the ticket. UNIFY THE PARTY PLEASE! These are the two most dynamic and intelligent Democrats in the history of the party. Let's begin the All American process of including minorities and women in the serious work of planning and leadership. After all women and minorities have had their voices and needs silenced for centuries. The power of this unification and the message of hope that would sent out to all people of this world may be our very salvatilon. It is time for these voices to be heard! Together we are not just a minority. We can become the true voice of change. OBAMA & CLINTON NOW!

Hillary Clinton. It's the only way to get all of the 18,000,000 votes that she received during the primaries. Anyone else and I, like many others, will select a different candidate in the general election. No Obama without Clinton.

I come from a Republican family, know people who aren't sure about Obama, but all say it would be a slam-dunk if Hillary Clinton was picked. They would all vote for Obama. I myself, would be dismayed if he didn't pick Hillary Clinton. Get over the egos and work together for the betterment of the whole party to get the Repubs out of the White House!!

I feel he should choose Hillary, as she is proven already as vote-getter. Millions of women (and men) are/were behind her. He is a fool if he doesn' see this.

Hillary Clinton would bring a balance to the ticket that would make Obama elect able for me. I am a life long Republican and have never voted for a Democrat in any primary or general election. I an 52 years old and I vote in every election. This is the closest I have come to voting for a Democrat. I'll be interested in seeing who Mr. Obama picks. If he is elected he'll still be our President and the country needs a strong and balanced Executive branch.

Listen to the people! Democrats want to win the election. Choose wisely and choose to win. If that means Hillary Clinton, choose her!

I believe we really need a change in our government and electing another republican is not the answer. The best chance that Obama has to win the election is to have Hillary as his VP choice.

I think Senator Obama should choose Hillary Clinton... and the the campaign slogan should be "Experience the Change".... we are looking for experince and someone to move forward to our changing world... the two would "clinch" the vote!!!

Obama can't win against Republicans without the other half of the party. That half is the Clinton supporters. Unite the party and come away from the convention with a winning ticket-

Al Gore has previously proven his popularity. He's experienced with federal government and has demonstrated his passion for supporting issues to help the world outside of his role as a politician. He would appeal to a demographic that might otherwise choose not to vote Democratic and make it more likely for Obama to win. I say Al Gore for VP!

As the poll continue to show the rece getting tighter, I'm concerned that without Hillary, the potential of the Republican winning the house, senate and presidency could happen. There are a lot of Hillary supporters and women that will only take the time to go out to vote if she is chosen. I feel strongly that Hillary is the only one that can make the difference in winning or loosing to the Republicans.

There is only one correct choice - SENATOR "JOE BIDEN" OF Delaware.

Hillary Clinton is the only choice. Her supporters will unify the democratic party and they would be unbeatable!

Hillary Clinton at this point would get all her votes back in the Dems column and out of the reach of McCain. I didn't support her in the primary and at first was really mad at her for the negative attachs on Obama....but we need her voters in the bag. Anyone else is a gamble we can't risk at this juncture.

Hillary Clinton. It should be obvious to all. The gains she will get in the women's vote will more than offset Obama losses due to the "dirtbag" vote!

Any anyone who says they would vote for McCain before Obama just b/c he is not Hillary - well, shame on them. Anyone who says that just because Hillary is NOT the candidate, they would vote for more of the inept government of the past eight years has given us is ignorant of the consequences. With McCain voting with Bush 95% of the time, well, next time you fill up your tank, see another foreclosure sign in your neighborhood, take a good look at your IRA/stocks, rest assured, with another Republican in the Whitehouse, it ain't gonna get better. Joe Biden would be the best VP and "attack dog" Obama could pick. Obama needs someone who is not the typical Senator, and Biden is NOT. He takes the train to work every day, does not own 7 houses, and, with his experience on the Foreign Relations Committee, he would counter-balance the good cop/bad-cop that has plagued Obama because his campaign has remained a tad too nice considering the unseemly remarks that McCain has blasted on Obama. Sometimes Obama's unwillingness to stoop to McCain's level has caused doubt. As for Hillary, she might be a good choice if her husband were not such a loose canon any more. If he would pick Hillary, he better have a food taster in the Whitehouse because with her ambition, along with Bill's, Obama would need one. McCain has used his POW thing to refute any and every comment against him. Listen to him carefully; he is going to get us into another war and has stated he would not eliminate re-instituting the draft. He wants to build 45 nuclear power plants - but he has stated nuclear waste would NOT go through Arizona. So, you can bury it at Yucca Mountain, 100 miles from where I live, but you cannot transport it through his state. So, when all the people in Vegas glow green in the dark, McCain will be in one of his 7 homes NOT in Nevada. Picking McCain over Obama just because he is not Hillary is an embarrassment to anyone who is allowed to vote. Bitterness is not a valid reason to elect a President.
