We are preparing for a campaign voyage across the seas to rally support for A  Race For The Oceans.

We do not just need signatures of support, we want to carry and share your messages too.

The Message: We are all Indigenous. We are all connected through the Oceans. We all depend upon them. We must all take responsibility for ensuring their health and future.

Goal:  Represent as many voices and signatures as possible to the leaders of all nations, in a call to step up a greater protection of the oceans; including the call to create a "Carbon Clean Wake" policy on marine pollution. Currently between 0.5% and just 1% of the oceans are protected!

Our Approach:  To create a wave of transformation via an engaging global education campaign for Ocean Awareness and Ocean Conservation delivered by sea to the shores of as many nations as possible. Providing a high visibility platform of wisdom sharing for the people and organisations that are committed to protecting the future of the oceans.

The Voyage begins November 1st  (2011)

We the undersigned call upon all nations to unite in the protection of our oceans, upon which we all depend. 

Our Oceans, the lungs of our planet, are in need of our urgent care and protection.

The world has already consumed 90 % of the global stock of large fish on the high seas. One third caught by illegal, unregulated vessels. 80% of ocean pollution comes from land based activities. Disease to marine life is on the increase. Disease caused by marine pollution to human life is on the increase. Habitats are being destroyed. Plastic, oil, chemicals, sewage, hydraulic fracturing; the list of poisons is too long.

There is not enough education on this subject. There is not enough open disclosure on this issue. We are placing a call to create a global race for the oceans; a race in which every person, every nation can contribute and make a difference.

This is not a petition against a group or activity. Most have had a part to play in the situation that exitsts today. This is a petition for unification, and greatness of spirit.

It is time for an Olympian Event for the Oceans, where instead of mankind pitting itself against the seas, we come together to find our greatness in service of the seas, for the sake of all life. The oceans unite us, so let us make that our opportunity for greatness, evolution and unity.
