I along with other Mountain Bike enthusiasts are interested in getting an off road bicycle (mountain bike) trail started here is the Okeechobee, Fl area. We are proposing  that a trail be built on county and or state owned land. We currently have a piece of land in mind on the east side of town. We are hoping to finalize our proposal within 1-2 weeks.

Currently we are going out of town to participate in our activity. We are looking for people that would like to have the opportunity to ride their bicycles in an off-road environment with trails that offer easy passage and the option to travel trails that are little more advanced.

The economic impact that a trail like this can have to our community is a great benefit by people coming to our area to ride our trails, just as we travel to thier areas.

The health benefits are great, bicycling is a great cardio sport and is relitively inexpensive, almost everyone owns a bike.

The trail would be built and maintained  by volunteers that I already have in place.

With our group of volunteers we can build and maintain a trail like this totally at our cost.
