On Behalf of Max, left chained and starving outside a TN home.

  • by: Friends of Max

We are seeking justice for Max and any animals similarly subjected to cruelty where Good Samaritans sought to intervene, but authorities failed to act and failed to hold accountable the abusers of these animals.
It is our hope that getting justice for Max will serve to prevent other animals from suffering as he has, and that the punishments we seek against those responsible will help ensure that other such abuses will, in the future, be properly attended by the authorities and those responsible will face the justice they deserve.
Thank you for adding your voice to our plea against animal abuse and cruelty!  Good Samaritans prevailed for Max, and he is now getting emergency care, nothing has been done to those who did this to him.
Please sign and share this petition and help us get justice for Max.
Dear Sirs,
We the undersigned wish to be heard in the matter of Max, a dog left chained and starving outside a home in Nashville, Tennessee, until heroically rescued through the diligent efforts of Good Samaritans, on January 8, 2012. Max was subject to extreme neglect and denied any access to the most fundamental needs: food, water, care and shelter. The persons in possession of Max did, additionally, make extreme and violent overtures to impede intervention on Max's behalf, up to and including firing guns at those seeking to bring relief supplies to the desperate dog.
In the interest of justice, we are asking that those responsible for Max's suffering and deteriorated condition be held to answer for their cruelty and that they should receive the maximum allowable penalty for the crimes committed against Max which would have certainly resulted in his death.
Furthermore, we request that it be stipulated that the offenders shall relinquish any and all other animals in their possession, and that it also be stipulated that they shall be prohibited from obtaining or possessing any other domestic or companion animals in the future, and that none shall be subject to their care or supervision for their own sakes.
We ask that the prosecutors and all proper parties of concern in this matter make every reasonable effort to seek the payment of damages to be awarded to the veterinary clinic overseeing Max's recovery.
Thank you,
