We, the undersigned, strongly urge the College to bring organic, kosher food to Dickinson. Recently, a group from Dickinson College visited Franklin and Marshall's Dining Hall's innovating Dining option. We, the undersigned would like to voice our support to this and similar efforts, and would like to help to argue the solvency of such an option by displaying support among the College community.

We, the undersigned, ask that the College bring organic food to Dickinson during this academic year. The College recently sent a committee to review Franklin and Marshall's franchise of KIVO. We ask that the college bring KIVO, an option that uses only KOSHER and ORGANIC FOOD to Dickinson before the end of the academic year!!!!!!

when you have a more diversified food, which in national opion, a food of healthy origins, if not bought locally, but made locally, will create a more harmonous community. bring in the organic kosher, we will fill better. thank you for time.

It would be a positive step towards spiritual and environmental sensitivity on campus.

Understanding the pluralistic needs of diverse communities is essential in understanding the value of the diversity Dickinson stresses. The goal is not to have black and white or Jewish and Muslim community on campus. The goal is rather to have blacks and whites, Jews and Muslims. We need to nurture the diversity that is foundational for these communities. It is diversity, within these marginalized groups, that creates community, challenges ideology, and establishes cultural momentum for a changing society. Provide for their diverse needs because the needs of the Jewish community, like any other, can only expand within its own internal pluralism.

Inclusion of a KIVO meal option will work to increase the size and diversity of the Jewish population on campus and will compliment the sustainability initiative of the campus by providing vegetarians another option that corresponds to their eating habits. And I hear it's tastier too!

I visited Dickinson once and loved the campus and the warm community there. If there were a healthy kosher dining option, it would enhance Dickinson's vibrant Jewish life and offer healthy food options for the wider college community.

The importance The Asbell Center for Jewish life, the Judaic studies program and Jewish life in general at Dickinson College cannot be overstated. Were the college to implement a kosher meal option, Jewish life would be able to flourish, impacting not only Jewish students but the entire college community. I think it is unfortunate that Dickinson does not yet have this option available and believe strongly that if adopted, the kosher option would not only allow for Jewish students of a plurality of backgrounds to feel comfortable, but it would also enhance Dickinson's commitment to engaging the world and diversity.

I am very glad that this healthy, Kosher option is now a realistic possibility, and we simply MUST take advantage of it. I see it as a mandatory step for Dickinson towards maintaing and attracting the Jewish population on campus, an investment in diversity as much as a moral obligation with the student body who is required to hold a meal plan for a whole 4 years. We trust in that the College will take such an advantageous step very soon!!!

It is really unfortunate that Dickinson is not up to speed regarding a kosher option. Not only is this the trend of small liberal arts schools in general, our biggest competitors are miles ahead here: Franklin and Marshall, Muhlenberg, Leheigh. If Dickinson wants to remain competitive, they have no option but to put in a kosher option. Another note, it is horrible that they require students who live on-campus to have a meal plan and then not provide the food those students need. Frankly, it is ridiculous that with one of the oldest Judaic Studies programs in the country and a long tradition of Jewish students, Dickinson has waited this long to begin considering this a necessity.
