The USDA Organic program only certifies food and food products. With all the companies using certified ingredients in their personal care products, I think it would be great for the Logo regulations to be extended into Personal Care (shampoo, body lotions, etc.) This means in order to carry the USDA logo you need the same requirements in body care as you do food products. That way companies can't call themselves "_________ Organics" and dump synthetics in the mix. If you want to name label yourself as Organic, then you shouldn't be able to have questionable ingredients aswell.

It's time to stop worrying about what's cheaper and start worrying about what's healthier. It Will become the demand, and money will take care of itself. It's time to be honest, healthy, and safe. What about your family that may possibly get cancer because of certain products..
Just think about it. It's time to Change our Future.
Thank you.

Here's what I have to say about that:
We are the voice of our people - We are the acts of the well-lived. You cannot take what we have rights to, and if you try - You will find yourselves with great opposition!

Current labeling practices are misleading and many companies are cashing in on consumers who are wanting to make earth friendly purchases but do not realize that there are still harmful chemicals in these products. Consumers have a right to know the truth about the products that they are purchasing and companies have a responsibility to be truthful in their advertising.

This is a shame & a sham. I have been duped before by false advertising & greedy corporations who desire to maximize their appeal to green enthusiasts & environmentally aware people. If you are to be called Batural or Organic -there should be an accountability & requirement set in stone for an organic standard...not misleading marketing. This is unfair & very dishonest.

Organic is organic is organic! No other bogus toxic chemicals should be allowed in the mix! Stop putting unnecessary chemicals in our personal care products for the sake of making a $buck at the cost of our health!

If organic food must meet certain criteria, shouldn't organic everything?

Lots of companies are jumping on the Green/Natural/Organic bandwagon and it's becoming more and more confusing for consumers to distinguish what is truly organic and what products dump in one organic ingredient or extract and label themselves and "all natural" or place organic in their name. As a consumer we deserve this as upfront knowledge about what we are ingesting or slathering on our bodies.

There is a reason for things to be certified, people are tusting that these products are safe and good for the environment. There cannot be any cracks for unhealthy regulations or poor regulation of quality to squeeze in. This is messing with people's lives.

It's time for everyone to take responsibility. Man (woman) up and have the guts to stand behind your products. If you are what you claim you have nothing to hide. I personally have more respect for companies that are upfront and honest. Even if it means you aren't currently organic but are making the steps to become organic.

I especially think the same standards should apply to personal care items as for food. Our skin is an organ that intakes even more than we intake orally, so why not? It just makes perfect sense to have the same regulations and warnings. I want to know what is going in my body, no matter HOW it is going into my body!

It is so very deceitful of the companies that want to give us non organically made products and call them organic! I am simply outraged that my choices of what goes on/in my body are being narrowed by companies that only care about their bottom line. They don't care whatsoever about my health, my children's health or even the health of their own children! Simply outrageous!!

Organic, means just that. Nothing else should be in a product but organic matter. That is what you are paying for when you buy the product. Anything else would be a lie.

Food and personal care for labeling purposes in the organic catagory should definitely be one in the same!! The regulations for personal care should just as important. The USDA Organic program should be setting the bar!!!!!! Consumer's are being decieved and let's face it we're paying the price too!!!!!

should mean all organic ingrediants in food, with enviormentally friendly farming/handling/creations! Thats the kind of food i have been looking for, for years. yet i have found only few companies that make the "should be" organic regulations.:)

By having proportionately more unnatural and synthetic ingredients, any self-care product should not be allowed to call itself organic or natural. This is misleading to the consumers. If I do find a product like this on the shelf, I read the ingredients and if I see an offending ingredient, I won't buy that product nor any from the line. The manufacturers are hurting themselves in the long run. I could have been a customer. Now I am an alienated consumer who will keep searching or just make my own.
