ACTION ALERT!
For almost 30 years, Ohio State University (OSU) experimenter has used taxpayer dollars to cut dogs open and induce heart attacks in them. He inserts a cuff around an artery, sews the dogs back up, then forces the dogs to run on a treadmill. He then tightens the cuff to block blood flow to the heart, causing a heart attack.
His conclusion is that exercise strengthens the heart and has been common knowledge for decades. Of 768 dogs used by this experimenter, a staggering 256 of them died either on the operating table or in the days following the surgery or before he could even test his hypothesis.

PETA reviewed the records for 10 dogs recently used by Billman and found evidence that the animals suffered immensely. Dog #3017 a brown hound dog with a white face was operated on and forced to endure three heart attacks in Billmans laboratory. Two days after her third heart attack, she died in her cement and steel cage, alone and in pain.
IF YOU DON'T THINK THIS CAN HAPPEN TO A DOG LIKE YOUR PET, YOU BETTER THINK AGAIN!
Animals in labs are shut away in darkness and secrecy. If we ae silent they are nothing but a pitiful lot being relegated to a cement and stainless steel world in a lab where they may be drugged, burned, blinded, infected with disease, shocked, shot, frozen, and surgically mutilated.
Please Stop Cruel Heart Attack Experiments on Dogs.
Action Alert: Help Stop Inhumane Spinal Cord Classes at OSU

Over the past year, PCRM and many of our members have called upon Ohio State University (OSU) to stop teaching cruel spinal cord injury research techniques as part of its Spinal Cord Injury Research Techniques summer course.
Nicknamed Cruelty 101, the course recruits technicians, graduate students, and researchers from various institutions and trains them to injure the spinal cords of mice and rats. During each summer course, taking place this summer from July 10-30, nearly 270 animals are subjected to serious injuries. This involves exposing the animals spinal cords by laminectomy and injuring the cord through blunt trauma. The animals skin, muscle, and other tissue is peeled away, vertebra are removed, and a machine drops a weight onto the animals spinal cords that, depending on the force exerted, can bruise, crush, or tear the spinal cord. Postoperatively, animals develop complications ranging from impaired bladder function to paralysis. Animals with spinal cord injuries are often in pain, and some even respond by chewing into their own skin and muscle. The animals are only checked for pain twice. Unseen they suffer, unheard they cry, in agony they linger, in lonliness they die.
Please look up further information on your search sites, there isn't enough space to list all of the atrocities performed on animals at this laboratory. It needs to be shut down. It needs to be shut down.
Please speak up for those innocents that cannot speak for themselves.
This is one more very good example of where and how the leadership fails, and conributes to the breakdown of our society. Lack of judgement officials must ultimately be voted out of office. If positions are appointed, a deeper scrutiny must take place. The mission of our country demands it.
