Outrageous Gas Prices

  • by: Rubiks
  • recipient: The People and The Government.

The following people of the United States would like to respectfully request answers to the following questions that have risen due to the significant increase of gas prices.

Why have gas prices reached such an outrageous high during such a hard time in the economy without the government stepping in to interject?

Why are we being taxed such an incredible rate? We understand the government is in trouble with debt but we are suffering with jobs, bills, and now we have to worry about how to travel to and from work. This is not right, where is our Representatives that are supposedly fighting for the people? Where are our rights?

Why is it that you, the government, will step in and break up monopolies such as AT&T but you wont protect your people? The same people that work hard to earn a living. The ones that allow you to stay up in your comfortable chairs and continue playing with our economy.

We all want answers. We will push for a nationwide boycott of fuels. We don't see change. We see the same over spending, 'top dogs' that we have always seen. We are tired of going deeper into debt because the houses and president can't make good choices. We are tired of being charged hefty state and fed taxes.
