Palm oil is grown in plantations that causes great deforestation and destroys orangutans homes. The survival of orangutans' biggest threat is palm oil therefore buyers have the right to know if they are buying palm oil and contributing to the death of orangutans. Products such as Nestle Kit Kats, Sarah Lee Apple Pies, Shapes, Tim Tams, Pringles, LCM's and Oreos all contain the product palm oil but do not label it on the packet. Everyone has a right to know what they are buying! Companies need to notify their consumers that they are consuming palm oil and paying the palm oil business to cut down the orangutans home to produce food like kit kats. Save the orangutans by signing this petition!

We the undersigned are writing to you because we have made a petition in attempt to make it compulsory for all companies to label their products with palm oil if they use it. Palm oil plantations are the biggest threat that orangutans face and are killing 50 orangutans each day. We need to know whether we are buying palm oil or not. Experts say that in the next 20 years, orangutans will become extinct so we are trying to do our part for the beautiful creatures by trying to make palm oil labelling compulsory. We would very much appreciate it if you would further investigate this matter as best as you could. If products were labelled with palm oil,  consumers would be aware of what they are buying and whether they are contributing to the extinction of the orangutan species. Thankyou very much for taking the time to read this letter, it means a lot to us.
