My parents will not let me have a dog. I have no brothers or sisters all I have is one useless bird , a hamster and two cats. I get bored on my own and would like to have some company. I have promissed to clean it's mess up and walk it in any weather. Please give support. They are looking for over 5000 votes. Please help me i will be very greatful.

EVERY child should have a dog. I used to work a lot of hours so I just had two cats when I got pregnant with my son and the first thing I did was get a dog! (I almost passed up your petition because I thought it was anti-dog and I feel very strongly that people who do not like animals mostly dogs are never good people and I clicked on it ready to be offended!) I hope your parents realize how important it is for kids to have a dog and you guys go pick one up at the shelter or take a dog in that is about to go to a shelter. That's how I got my wonderful dog and my wonderful cat! Good luck!!!

I support you getting a dog as long as you get one from your local animal shelter. Another thing I recommend is that you volunteer for a time in an animal shelter or for a rescue group to learn the plight of these animals and learn about caring for dogs.

As another person said below me, I fully support you as long as you adopt from an animal shelter. There are too many homeless animals for people to be breeding. It's selfish, really. Good luck!
