Support a Dog Park in Patterson Park!

Target:
Patterson Park and its surrounding communities
Please support us in getting Baltimore City to approve a dog park in Patterson Park.

The Patterson Park Dog Park Committee is working to establish a fenced, off-leash dog park in Patterson Park in Baltimore City where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife. To develop a beautiful, well-maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions. To view this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Baltimore, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike.

We need this dog park for everyone in the neighborhood. It benefits dog owners and non-owners alike and is just one more selling point for showing that the neighborhood is really improving.

A dog park would be good for all. While there are a lot of well mannered dogs, there are those off leash that run up to other dogs on leash. This is an agressive act to the dog on leash especially when they blind sight the dog. Dogs off of leash in a contained area would be better for all. Including people with little toddlers that could potentially be knocked over by a dog. I saw a large boxer knock a grownup off of a bicyle because he was chasing a squirrel.

The park has many place's to build a fenced in area... I'm surprised that it hasn't been done yet.

Patterson Park is prime location to bring community members together with a fenced dog park. Dogs congregate in the park now, and what a nice way for those dogs who can't be off leash to get to interact with their new friends!

Bella our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cannot wait until the dog park is open. She loves playing off leash, especially with other dogs.

A dog park in Patterson Park would improve the quality of life for many dogs and their owners. With the recent closing of Robert E. Lee park, we need more spaces where dogs can freely play!

My family is moving to Patterson Park in about a week's time. The idea of a dedicated dog park so near us would be crucial to ensuring my dog gets the exercise and socialization that she needs to properly develop.

We live across from the park and I would love to be able to have a dog park that our pup could run free in right across the street instead of having to walk all the way to the one in Canton.

Please hold a meeting soon to move forward with the Patterson Park Dog Park. There are a great number of city and Patterson Park neighborhood residents that have dogs - and it's important not only to give dogs a place to run and play - but also to socialize dogs so that they're less likely to have negative reactions to other pets and people when being walked daily.

If there is no legal dog park, people will allow their dogs offleash in areas where they can run away, etc. A FENCED dog park is needed!

Patterson Park is a beautiful, well maintained park and we enjoy living so close. The only thing that could make it better would be an enclosed dog park where Grouper can play!

I take my dog to Patterson Park everyday. I also walk dogs for "walk the dog Baltimore." Canton has a small dog park already, Locust point is in the process of getting a dog park. Given the fact that we have the largest park of them all, a builder willing to put up the money, and more importantly the support of all of the neighbors, it's a no brainer. We will be in the park with our dogs either way, please support a make sense goal.

I know of so many people who would value a dog park in Patterson Park. Dog parks are a sign of a progressive city who values the quality of lives for both animals and people!

I own two Catahoula Leopard Dogs that love to run. On the weekends we drive out of the city to my parent's place to let them run and play. A dog park nearby would be awesome!

I believe there should be a park just for dogs because so many people bring their dogs to the beautiful Patterson Park, they should be able to let their dogs run wild and have a good time.

Baltimore is a city that is very dog friendly. Many of the city's small businesses provide bowls of water and treats for dogs. Some of the city's restaurants are even named after dogs - Iggies, Coopers, the Dog Pub. Although the city seems to welcome dogs, there is only 1 official dog park in Baltimore City. the city simply needs more. Putting one in Patterson Park is a great idea.

Creating a dog park at Patterson Park will effectively control the off-leash incidents at the park, minimize the harassment to non-dog owners, and unify our dog enthusiasts around the community thereby establishing a greater sense of pride toward our city.

My friends and family live in the city and own a dog or two. They need a place to go and get exercise with their dog(s). It would be better than nothing at all!! The community needs a nice park anyway!

I have two dogs that love running around with other dogs and playing fetch. Unfortunately, in a city like Baltimore, there is not very much safe green space for my dogs to have that opportunity. A dog park in Patterson Park will help bring together a community and will help attract positive attention to the Park.

I'm writing to support the community to have the dog park. Even though I don't live in that town, I believe that it is very important not only for animals but for people to have a place where they can share some time and get to socialize with others.

Having a dog park in Patterson Park would really be a draw to our neighborhood and city. It is shameful that Baltimore only has one legal off-leash dog park. If Mayor Dixon and the City Council are truly committed to improving the quality of life for city residents and building our neighborhoods, they will back this measure.
