Pet Land pet store have a history of animal neglect and cruelty where ever they set up shop. There have been many complaints filed against them....and many many more that have not been. Who will speak for the creatures who have no voice? Who will stand up against this evil and say that it is Not Acceptable and Will Not be Tolerated? I must! You must! Please sign this petition so that it can be taken before proper authorities to prove that the citizens of the towns that presently harbor these death shops can prove that they no longer wish to have this business of death as part of their community. Help me make a stand. Help the innocent animals, fish and reptiles who have no voice. Thank you. PLEASE READ BELOW!!!

This photo was taken in the back room of a Petland store in Akron, Ohio, and posted on Facebook by Elizabeth Carlisle, who can be seen grinning as she holds two dead, soaking-wet rabbits by the scruff of the neck—rabbits she just drowned while on Petland's time clock. On Carlisle's Facebook page, she confirmed a friend's guess that she had drowned these two rabbits and wrote, "[T]he manager took the pic for me. [S]he reminded me that there were people outside as [I] was swearing at them to just hurry up and die but then she was so kind as to take this picture."

These horrific deaths followed what was apparently an equally horrifying life for these rabbits. Other comments Carlisle posted made it clear that the rabbits were drowned after sustaining agonizing injuries when they were allowed to "attack and eat each other." The rabbits suffered from "deep wounds all over," "an eye missing," what Petland staff "suspected was a broken jaw," and paralysis from the waist down—injuries that would not have occurred had these animals been provided with proper care and supervision.

Undercover investigations have revealed time and time again that companies that breed and sell animals are concerned about profits, not animals' well-being. We are urging Petland to think long and hard about what this incident makes clear: The company has no business selling any animals.

To prevent future incidents like this one, please, never buy from pet stores and urge Petland at the very least to stop selling rabbits.

Anytime you purchase pets from a pet store, you help create a market for animal cruelty. Please be aware!

Dear Representative,

We the undersigned would like to draw to your attention the continued cruelty of Pet Land pet shops. They are a chain of pet stores in the United States with a record of animal cruelty and poor living conditions for the creatures they keep in their shops to make a profit upon. The above posted story of the rabbits being drowned is one of horror and extreme cruelty. These rabbits were killed in the pet shop by and employee while under the direct authority of a store manager. The rabbits were immaciated and in pain. They had been let starve and turn to canabalism to try and stay alive. This is atrocious. They have a history of purchasing their dogs from puppy mills where the conditions are deplorable. The animals are locked in small cages were they have no way of mving about and must lay in their own excrement as it deepens around them.

Please, please...The animals, fish and reptiles that must live in these horrible conditions and be treated in such uncaring manners implore you to take action and stop Pet Land pet shops from continuing their cruel business practices in the manner that they have done so far.
Please help be the voice for those on this earth who have no voice.

I Thank You so very much for reading this petition. I know that you too are concerned with the plight of the world and her creatures. Thank you for being a kind heart who cares. Thank You for being a voice.

Sincerely,
Sarah Anderson

I see these people as serial killers, they start with defenseless animals and then move onto humans. And you work at a pet store, to care for the animals, you disgusting person.
