Please Google We Need An Auction Site

Target:
Google
Sponsored by:

Let us show Google how much trust and support we give them. Let us tell them what the people want.

People want Google to open an auction site. We need a permanent home for sellers to feel safe and secure. A place where buyers can find anything they are looking for.

We know that if Google started an auction site they would without a doubt hold the monopoly on Ecommerce.

Lets face it, after all the bad moves eBay has made recently, they are going downhill fast.

A ton of really great sellers and buyers are desperate to find a home for their items.

So come on Google please, you would make a lot of people really happy.

Lets say goodbye to eBay and hello to the new trend of Google auctions.

The internet community trusts Google. It does not trust Ebay, but Ebay is the only auction game in town. If Google provided an auction site, Ebay's sellers would leave it within 48 hours. We already know you're making money Google, and do not need to create an auction empire too. But we're asking you to do that, not for you, because no you don't need it..but for us, because we DO. You have our trust. We'd rather have Google get our money than the thieves at Ebay/Paypal. Launching Google checkout was not an appropriate test of the viability of Google ecommerce, since Ebay won't use google checkout. And we're still stuck with Ebay (and paypal). Make an auction site, we'll be there.

The previous eBay layout was the most efficient, most easiest, most clear-cut design ever.. WHY in the world did anyone feel the need to change it?? This new one is so cluttered and disorganized and nowhere near as awesome as the last.. there really should be an option NOT to change over to it so those who prefer the old can still function with what works best for them. Usually I was trying to avoid eBay cuz of how easy it was, lol to get into the habit of searching and buying stuff (so very addictive!).. but now? I'll probably stay away even longer just cuz I'd rather not deal with a bad layout that was forced on me. If Google comes up with a site equal to old!eBay, sure, I'd sign up for it and give it a chance.

Please Google - the opportunity has never been better. Just take a look at EBAY stock !

ebay is horrible, I've been asking google for two years now, it makes economic sense; they would make more with google checkout and fees than with advertising they receive from ebay.

I have been selling on eBay since 1998. They no longer care about their sellers or buyers (who made the site possible). The site is so user unfriendly now I can't take it anymore. I would hop on board in a New York minute if you would build a new auction site. In fact I think the line would go around the block and beyond to sign up. eBay is a sinking ship, please through us a life boat!

A Google auction site would be an excellant alternative to Ebay. It would be a viable place for buyers and sellers to come to and establish their business. I want a site that meets everyones needs, reasonable fees, equal treatment of buyers and sellers, a way to weed out the scammers, a choice of payment options, better search ability.... we can start with these options and I'd be happy!

please please please offer a real world functional auction format. just copy ebays OLD format, it worked, we liked it, and obviously ebay doesnt think its worthwhile as they have moved on to stupidity and craziness. I have thousands of items to sell,, i used to run 30 auctions a week, no i run zero. you could have my business if you would just set up a auction format.

Please. We need a reasonable, solid competitor in the online auction venue.

I don't need to tell anyone just how much of a ripoff Ebay and Paypal are. I had been a seller three different times in the past and I swear they managed to grab my money each and every time! The latest started with a dispute from a thief that a refund on an item they claimed was defective. (I knew it was a lie and it was examined by two independant professional luthiers and the evidence forwarded to their JURY team. Now during this two + month hearing process. they put a hold on all my paypal assets and they actually went into my account and gave this jerk her money back! They never did release my other funds and it's now going on a year! I am out 1300 dollars (not counting the refund money they took from mt account.) I could go on and on about them playing the god-head since they have such a monopoly, but I am sure you already know that. Any company strong enough to compete with them (and one that is honest and fair), would be an instant success. They have no idea just how many people are fed up with their ripping-off honest people. I'm really surprised that Washington hasn't stepped in to do something about them. Eventually they will when enough people stand up for their rights and start rattling their cages.

Google is an excellent company with untapped growth potential. An auction site through them is long overdue, for the purpose of correcting all of the mismanagement mistakes of the sinking eBay site.

This is a heartfelt plea to please offer an alternative to what can only be described as the internet equivalent of a Bush administration - but without the hope of an election to end the nightmare. I beg you, please, set my people free!!

I haven't been happy with ebay for years now and it's just getting worse. Their newest change with our "My ebay" page is just the last straw. Please Google, start an auction site that is for both sellers and buyers?? PLEASE!

Google, If you have ever considered starting an Ebay style auction/bin site, now is the time. Sellers are leaving ebay daily because of a new unwanted system forced upon them that is not user friendly at all replacing a good old tried and true system. As far as staffing, I am sure you will soon be able to hire laid off ebay personell to bring their knoledge to Google as ever decreasing revenue at ebay will most likely lead to layoffs. Come on Google, now is the time to return ebay to what it once was only with a new name. Google auctions, Google flea market whatever you call it, you've got an army of sellers looking for a new place to do business.

My eBay is no longer MINE it belongs to some 2-year old hack. I with eBay for 10 years and have 100% positive feedback but eBay management doesn't value my contribution and refuses to give back the 'Opt Out' option. Can't stand the new eewwwBAY! I don't WANT to cut off my legs to FIT their shiny bells & whistles wheelchair!

I stopped personal buying on eBay months ago and resorted to Google searches and options because it was as secure if not more so than eBay and I did not have to deal with the constant issues created by eBay. This experience could be greatly enhanced if Google were to design their own auction house website. Please, Google. We need an alternative to the monopoly that is eBay.

I believe that with the success of Google's other projects, they could do a much better job of running an auction site than the current eBay organization can.

Speaking strictly as a buyer, eBay just keeps getting worse & worse as time goes on. They keep changing things (fixing what isn't broke) like user interfaces that previously worked very well & now replace them w/systems that are missing many useful, practical & necessary features & options, are very inefficient & extremely cumbersome to use/learn/customize, full of bugs, & are just plain BROKEN & huge steps backward in logic. eBay management also doesn't seem to care about the needs of its users/customers & is extremely arrogant, nonresponsive, & provides terrible customer service (if any). As time goes on, they continue to make things more & more difficult for the majority of both buyers & sellers alike & do not seem to care at all about achieving customer satisfaction as they disregard & ignore customer feedback while whitewashing the facts or possibly even distorting or lying about customer satisfaction statistics pertinent to the situation. It is as if they are deliberately trying to drive away hoardes of users (the very people it presumably derives revenue from). We users DESPERATELY need another auction site that is like what eBay originally was intended to be & what eBay should be, but actualy with GOOD management & GOOD (or GREAT) customer service (unlike the present-day eBay).

eBay has been a great place to trade, but it is clearly no longer listening to its customers. As a small stockholder of Google, I trust that it would do a better job of listening to its customers, which in turn would help the value of my stock holdings.

The new My eBay of 1/20/09 is the death of that auction site as a fun place to find and bid on unique items.
