I used to live in NY which seems hundreds of years more advanced than Florida. I have never seen such abuse, disrespect of Black men as I have seen in S.Florida by Black-White-Hispanic police. As a Cuban myself I now refer to S.Floridas politicians as CubanKuKluxKlan because they tolerate, turn a blind eye to what a NY Mayor would not. Sadly no Mayor Bloombergs in this rancid place only Bermudez-Alvarez-Diaz,etc.

Twice my son has suffered under police brutality in Miami Florida and Broward florida. He has been falsely charge by police for resisting arrrest when they never had a reason to arrest him in the first place. The police unfair treatment of blacks and minorities is out of hand. We need more representation against these guys who are unfairly putting our kids life in jeapordy.

I'M A CERTIFIED CORRECTIONAL OFFICER AND I WORKED AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR 5 YEARS AND I LEFT BECAUSE OF CORRUPTION. I PRAY THAT YOUR FAMILY GET A LAWYER AND SUE THIS DEPARTMENT. THEY DID NOT FOLLOW PROPER PROTOCOL. GET A LAWYER! I NEVER MISTREATED AN INMATE, BECAUSE I TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY I WANTED TO BE TREATED. WE DON'T HAVE TO BE RUDE OR OVERLY AGGRESSIVE TO BE EFFECTIVE AT OUR JOB. I FOUND BEING FIRM BUT FAIR EFFECTIVE ENOUGH. LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS & CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS ARE TRAINED FIRST RESPONDERS. WE HAVE A DUTY TO ACT! IF WE SEE AN INJURED PERSON AND DO NOT ACT WE ARE BREAKING THE LAW. IF WE HELP THEM AND CAUSE MORE DAMAGE, WE ARE PROTECTED UNDER THE GOOD SAMARITAN ACT. WHICH PROHIBITS THE PERSON BEING HELPED FROM SUING. EVEN IF HE WAS DRUNK WHEN HE HIT THAT HOUSE, HE COULD'VE STILL INJURED HIMSELF. SO IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE WAS DRUNK OR SOBER, THE OFFICER'S SHOULD'VE MADE SURE HE RECEIVED TREATMENT. THERE IS A WARD IN THE HOSPITAL FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE PLACED UNDER ARREST. THIS CASE IS MORE THAN POLICE BRUTALITY AND ABUSE OF POWER, IT'S IN MY OPINION A HATE CRIME. TAKE CARE AND I WISH YOUR FAMILY THE BEST!

Why should the police treat Tony Webb in such a manner as they did? He needed medical treatment not locked up in jail. I for one think that the policies of the Florida Police need to be followed as I am not one to believe that this is proper protocol.

This is just terrible! It broke my heart when I read it. This man should have had immediate medical attention as soon as the accident happened. What IS wrong with these police officers?? They just thought he was a "drunk" and put him in jail. I also beleive it happened because he's a black man. I am not black but I do beleive it was partly racially related! These officers should lose their jobs!!!

Absolutely disgusting. People are people, regardless of weather they were impaired and driving, or in an accident and driving, the bottom line is he hit a building, and he definately didn't get medical treatment. In any ssituation of any sort, that is unacceptable. If this guy were a terrorist with a vial full of anthrax you still should have givin him proper medical care! Im a canadian and I cant imagine not getting medical care in an emergency like that. Sort out your priorities guys, people alive or people in jail....
