There's a lot going on online today. Some of us are watching the latest uploads to YouTube or Hulu, while others are checking team stats and posting to discussion boards populated by friends and family across the country, or even the world. I myself am preparing my next blog post, while we all are checking what filters through to our email inbox.
But most of us take this for granted. What makes all this possible is a little thing called "Net Neutrality," the guiding principle that preserves the free and open use of the Internet.
Net Neutrality prevents Internet providers like Comcast, Time Warner, and AT&T from blocking, speeding up or slowing down Web content based on its source, ownership or destination.
These companies are working night and day to find ways to bias the Internet in their favor. But one organization,
Save The Internet.com, mobilizes citizens and lobbies congress for those of us who don't wish to be shut out from the vital conversations taking place online.
