The B48 is the most convenient bus for those of us living in Greenpoint. It allows access to the G, L and JMZ lines. Without this bus getting to these subway lines would be impossible.

I also take the Q26 to St. Francis Prep. Its the most convenient way to school for me as well. If the Q26 shuts down, then i would have to either take a cab everyday from where i live or go through a long route to get to school. i believe that the Q26 is very important to the people who take it for transportation to the school and work. Please don't shut down the Q26 route.

I am also a student at St. Francis Prep. I take the Q26 to school, and i take it back home. If you eliminate not only I, who lives about 45 minutes away from the school, would have to go through a longer and time consuming route. Many other kids from SFP, and people who are working around the area, which there is a lot of, would have trouble getting to their house or to their work, or even to school. When it snows or rains, the Q26 is the most convenient way to go around. This route is very necessary to our daily life. Please do not eliminate the Q26 line.

I am a student at St. Francis Prep. The Q26 is very important for students at Prep and other students too. We rely on the 26 to get to AND from school. Eliminating this bus will mean that we would have to take longer ways to get to school. This is the quickest and most convienient way. Also, eliminating this route is only going to stress the other bus routes.

The Q26 is the only transportation myself and my elderly mother have to get to supermarkets, banks, the subway, doctor offices and various other essentials required for daily living. Eliminating this valuable resource would drastically effect our daily lives as we do not own a car and rely heavily on the Q26 bus line as do a majority of our neighbors. This fact is confirmed Monday through Friday during rush hour as the bus is often filled to capacity halfway through its route to Main Street; proving that ridership numbers are very high and that the Q26 is a much needed, highly utilized transportation resource in our community. Please do not eliminate the Q26 bus line. Our seniors, our school-aged children and our working class residents will greatly suffer without it. Thanks for listening. Lisa Chappell
