Reusing packaging

This petition addresses the unnecessary garbage that is created by excessive packaging of consumer products for the North American consumer.

As a major manufacturer of consumer products, P&G has to adopt packaging policies that will see an immediate reduction in the energy used and the carbon emissions involved in making excessive packaging.

P&G must also adopt a refill format for those products where bulk refill stations can easily be installed in its major retail outlets so that consumers can take their empty P&G containers to these retail outlets, refill the containers with the P&G product of choice and pay only for the content and not a new plastic bottle.

We the undersigned, are consumers of your products and do hereby demand that you offer us products that will allow us to reuse the containers that they come in.

The products as pictured here came in a very attractive and sturdy plastic bottle which can easily be reused countless times before their weak points, which are the seams, would cause a leak.

Bulk refill stations have been established by smaller makers of consumer products and it is very easy to set up and maintain. P&G as a major maker of consumer products can have an immediate impact on the environment simply by using less and allowing us to reuse.

We thank you for your kind attention and look forward to your press release with regards to your setting up of bulk refill stations across North America.
