Before I gripe my first experience with the next gen console Internet browser was on the WII. I was impressed (Software wise, the resolution was crappy). It did run good, but 480p just sucks. So I figure the PS3 browser must be better. Much powerful system 720p/1080i, 1080p. Wow was completely wrong The PS3 is a great system, but why do you limit its potential. The internet browser and Media options/interface are a Joke. This was a huge selling point for me, the PS3 to me was the ultimate All in One machine. The hardware has no problems. In fact the standard DVD quality and Divx playback is amazing. As bad as it is I can work around that, now onto the internet browser. You must have spent a whole 2 days porting the PSP browser to the PS3. The first thing I did when I went on the Internet is check youtube. It plays video's, but nags me every time about running the plugin. Well it works but kinda sucks for playlists. Youtube's cool but I get tired of watching 5 minute grainy home made videos. So after seeing the Divx quality, I can't wait to check out ABC's full episodes in HD. Load it up, then no video. Well this kinda sucks, maybe its just ABC. So I goto hulu.com same BS, then AOLTV you same crap. So then I figure lets read the news at CNN, the kinda freezes and say not enough memory to load. Wow just like the PSP, well thanks Sony for dropping the ball.

sony needs to get together with adobe to provide an update for the ps3 flash player because it is stupid to place software on the system if you don't plan to offer support for it. it's an older version you can barely use because most websites only support the latest version 9.0.

I own a PS3 only for the Media Center UPnP options and BluRay... accessing Hulu would make the world complete. Sony needs to advertise the amazing capabilities of PS3 beyond a simple gaming machine; nothing competes especially at the price point... except we can watch streaming video MAJOR OBSTACTLE to being the obvious winner. Please fix!

Sony is or has been slacking...a olt!!! Been a die hard playstation fan from start...but now questioning my options. Xbox games all come with trophy support, not just 13 games...plus we all need better flash support. Step your game up Sony because your losing fanbase by the day!!!

this is supposed to be a "super computer media center " but lacks access to certain media. not only do we need flash update but we need more codecs and the ability to read text such as pdf, that would be nice. thank you.

if sony/ps3 want to impact the world with HD why are they falling short. flash player in HD is a neccesary step or plain and simple they are hipocrits.

Hulu support would greatly enhance this awesome product. Installing YD 6 until support is official.

Currently I only own a 360 but would buy a ps3 if they adopted flash 9. Otherwise I will end up building a htpc with a blueray drive and not spend any money with sony.

I bought the ps3 excited because I could browse the internet... and the first thing I thought was that this is finally my chance to relax in front of my flat screen t.v and watch shows when I can't use my computer... but nope.. ps3 doesn't support flash.. sounds like such a easy thing to update too.. come on sony, please give us this much? There's not many good games right now and my ps3 is seriously collecting dust..
