Push for a Universal Vegetarian Seal

Push for a Universal Vegetarian Seal

Target:

Sponsored by:

Our plan would require all food, drink, cosmetic, drug, and any other companies using animals (such as furniture company with a leather couch or clothing company with a fur coat) in their products or had their products tested on animals (even if it wasn't by them, such as by the FDA) to print a visible label either on the front of their product, the front of the product box, or shown at the time of purchase (including at restaurants). Such a label would show with a legible picture of everything (that vegetarians, vegans, or people with allergies don't eat) that product contains, such as:
-dairy products (including things made from dairy products, such as butter or whey)
-eggs
-non-kosher and kosher animal meat (such as beef, pork, chicken, fish, etc)
-other direct animal products (such as cocamide (crushed egg and parts of a female bug from Peru used as a color in most soaps and many foods, among other things), stearic acid (saturated fat found in soap that can be from beef or cocoa butter), honey, sugar processed with bone char, fur, leather, etc)
-animal by-products (such as gelatin)
-non-organic products (those made without using pesticides, among other things)
-peanuts
-phenylalanine (what is in aspartame that some people are allergic to).
If any part of this were to be a problem like the industries found loopholes around them, or citizens thought more should be added to it, it could be changed at any time.
If any companies lied on their mandated label, they could be sued by any of the federal or state governements, any animal rights group, or any private citizen. They could be sued by an unlimited number of people for an unlimited amount. Their licenses could also be temporaily or permanently revoked.

The animals, our Earth, and your health will thank you!

I spend so much time reading ingredients for animal products. This would make my life so much easier
