Haitian women feed their children in the streets, they sleep in the floor and drink unsafe dirty water. They strive for some coins, but work is not available. They do not want to be beggars. They need Dignity. Having a small amount of money every month on their hands would make a world of difference to them. Let us tell UNIFEM and the World Bank, and all institutions working in Haiti they MUST unite and form a Fund to give Haitian women US$50.- a month, without pay back. If they start such fund, the female collective of the world will donate too so that it lasts at least three years. Give money to the corageous Haitian women directly and watch a miracle happen.
Las mujeres haitianas alimentan a sus hijos en las calles, duermen en el suelo y toman agua no segura y sucia. Luchan por unas monedas, pero el trabajo no esta disponible. Ellas no quieren ser limosneras. Ellas necesitan Dignidad. Tener un pequeno monto de dinero en sus manos cada mes haria un mundo de diferencia para ellas. Digamosle a UNIFEM y al Banco Mundial y todas las instituciones que trabajan en Haiti que DEBEN unirse y formar un Fondo para dar a las Haitianas US$50.- cada mes sin repago. Si ellos comienzan este fondo, el colectivo femenino mundial tambien donara para que dure por lo menos tres anios. Pongan dinero directamente en las manos de las valientes haitianas y vean la realizacion de un milagro.

Have watched the corageous women of Haiti struggle during and after the earthquake in their land. This catastrophe calls for direct action to support them.
We ask your authorities to take the lead and give each Haitian woman the sum of US$50.- monthly for three years without payback, and ask the rest of the international organizations working in Haiti to follow your lead. We know this is not what economists would advise, but this is not a normal situation, it is a catastrophe.
Women collectives in the world will also donate when you begin. You have the power, you have the means, be the greater persons and we will acknowledge your action. Please listen to us. May God bless you for opening your hearts and pockets to the corageous women of Haiti.

Hemos visto a las valientes mujeres de Haiti luchar durante y despues del terremoto en su tierra. Esta catastrofe llama a una accion directa para apoyarlas.
Solicitamos a su autoridad que tome la delantera para dar a cada mujer haitiana la suma de US$50.- por tres anios sin repago, y pedir al resto de las organizaciones internacionales en Haiti que los sigan en esto. Sabemos que esto no lo aconsejarian los economistas, pero esta no es una situacion normal, es una catastrofe.
El colectivo femenino del mundo tambien donara cuando ustedes comiencen. Ustedes tienen el poder y los medios para hacerlo. Sean los mejores y nosotros reconoceremos y saludaremos su iniciativa. Por favor escuchennos. Que Dios los bendiga por abrir sus corazones y sus bolsillos a las valientes mujeres haitianas.
