"A. NUNEZ 16 YR OLD SENTENCED TO DIE IN PRISON"

Target:
California Governor Schwarzenegger and Senator Boxer
Sponsored by:
Antonio Nunez is the only child in the country known to be serving a death in prison sentence for his involvement, at age 14, in a single incident where no one was injured. EJI is challenging his case, to the court.
Let's help Antonio get released! Antonio was never even tried as a juvenile! It's so unfair for him to have to stay inside the prison walls and grow up in there with many child molesters,  sex offenders, murderer's, drug addicts, and just much more. This child will never grow up knowing what life really is and could be for him ! Please make sure everyone, that you help support us to get him out and sign the petition! Antonio's attorneys are working very hard on his case right now! The petition needs to move quickly! F.A.C.C. would like to thank all who have been kind and concerned and given their hearts to Antonio Nunez.

You can't kill a 14 year old!

If he was involved 'in a single incident where no one was injured' then it is stupid and sickening to put such a young child to death!

Please re-consider this case. Can you remember when you were 14? We ALL have made mistakes and done things that we should have thought out better-right? I am not saying that there should not be punishment for breaking the law;however, the punishment should fit the crime and I dont believe that in this case it does. PLEASE THINK THIS OVER! Thank you!

No, I believe that people should all be treated with respect.

i don't know anybody, myself included, who at 16 was able to rationally understand the world i lived in and made all the correct decisions. no matter how sure i was that i knew what was what and how sure i was that i was right in all i did, a few years would pass and i'd look back in shame and embarrassment at how little i really did know and how wrong i was. while i agree whole heartedly there is a line that can be crossed for which age can be no excuse, to take the life of someone so young accomplishes nothing but adding ugliness to the world. but is life locked away really merciful? considering how widespread abuses are routinely commited by those that are incarcerated against each other and by those who are in charge, sadly, i don't know that a lifetime incarcerated suffering from torture and abuse rather than the whispers from ones conscience is easier to face than the fear of being put to death as that fear has an end. it's horrible to make such a statement, but the greater horror is that nobody really cares about those who are locked away. and not only do most not care, i think they secretly enjoy the added misery inflicted to those locked away. what a world! if we put people away, that is punishment enough! they should not be physically and sexually abused on top of that.

people in charge of our penal institutions who take advantage of the incarcerated are no less than psychos with control issues. these people need to be found out and sent to spend time in the populations they abused. a lot of time! but, this abuse factor is just another part of our penal system that is given a wink and an nod from officials. every cop knows what happens behind bars and use it to threaten arrestees with. every judge and every prison warden and guard knows this type of treatment is routine. every person who has been to prison knows what happens there. but, most people do not care. that's so disturbing because the only thing that seems to have gotten easier in our world is the possibility of finding yourseld on the wrong side of some law whetehr th Patriot Act or some other bit of legal craziness so i vogue these days.

"It would really help if you leave a suggested comment for the State and County Officials"!

Do you think children should be brutilized by the staff who work in the juvenile facilities, and by the judges who place them there?

How in God's name can a 16yr old be imprisoned for life? What the hell is wrong with this world??? Such brutality is simply unthinkable. Re-hab the boy, don't destroy what God made.

Death penalty is wrong in any case. When applied to a juvenile it is nothing more than a sign of authorities' incompetence and vengance!

It seems easier to regenerate a juvenile than an adult. All first time offenders deserve one more chance after passing through a thorough rehabilitation process.
