FLDS families - this is not about punishment or persecution of your religion. Our hearts do ache terribly for each of you and your children. The reason we sometimes speak angrily is because we know you've been sheltered from having options, emotions, education, self-esteem, and finding your own truth. This could not be a simpler truth. Sending children back to abusive environments is wrong. Foster homes may not always be perfect but more often than not they are a stable environment. The thought of petitioning to send children back to a known sexually, physically and emotionally abusive environment sends chill down my spine. DO NOT send these children back to hell.
