Egypt, which in 1979 became the first Arab country to sign a peace deal with Israel, has been an active mediator in resolving the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, and between rival Palestinian factions Hamas and Fatah.
Looks like whether we like it or not Bible and History has shown us that the land was given to Israelis(Through Jacob) and that the Iraelis are here to stay?So why cannot we accept this fact and move on with Goodwill and sign a Peace Treaty if we really want Peace?Is it not about time to act more like - become statesmen and not terrorists or freedom fighters who kill innocent civilians.
Israel has also done "wrong" and I think those who are politically aware know .However Two Wrongs do not make a Right and violence seems to be begetting more violence and ..........
Goodwill from both sides will bring about Peace sooner than later?
Yes Israel is building houses in the West Bank but did they not give back Sinai and Gaza?Was this not a sign of Goodwill?And what happened in Gaza and With Sinai?
I feel if the Israelis and Palestinian live near each other the chances of Peace are better -offending parties will think twice before bombing and hurting innocent people.
Also what is the BIG PICTURE-Are we getting lost in the small pictures ?
What is the crux of the problem that is hindering the peace process?-I think all concerned know - but we cannot Progress because we are caught up in a web of doing the same old thing and mindsets - and this is hindering Peace.
I really cannot understand why soooo many years and why the Middle East Peace Process takes one step Forward and 10 steps Backwards.
With Peace, Sinai was given back-Did Sadat lose face?I am sure it was not easy for him to sign a peace agreement with Israel, but he did ,so why cannot we?We are AFRAID of What?
I think it takes a very "BIG" person to do what is "Good" and "Right" for my people and to change my mind for the BETTER?
People are hesistant to donate to Gaza because there is no assured peace?
Please rethink your stance(those who are Anti - Israel but Pro- Peace) and sign a peace with Israel (lasting forever)as a sign of Goodwill.
Dear Sirs,
Whether we like it or not the Bible and History has shown us that Israel was given by God to Israel (through Jacob-choose to believe?) and they were displaced and now they are here to stay?
Though it must have been difficult , Sadat signed a peace treaty with Israel and I think he is a Better man for it.
Some people feel donating to and building Gaza again will be a waste(of money and time) because there is no definite peace with Israel.
Please rethink your stance and recognise Israel, otherwise, if you feel you cannot, please sign a Forever Peace Treaty with them. Even if you are Anti -Israel BUT Pro - Peace please reconsider and sign a Forever Peace Treaty with Israel.
