Recognizing Honors at University of Phoenix

Currently honors is not recognized at the University of Phoenix Online graduation. Students have worked extremely hard to earn a degree and earn that degree with honors. As students have the right to walk on graduation, though they may be nine credit shy of a diploma, they should also have the right to do so with the accreditation that those students have earned. This petition will be sent to the board of directors to see if they can add honors recognition at the graduation ceremony.
This petition has closed because graduation took place on Saturday July 19th in Phoenix Arizona. Unfortunetly I sent the petition to the heads of University of Phoenix, however they responded the same. They would not recognize honors at graduation. Although my name was not announced as Magna Cum Laude in front of my friends and family, I did wear a gold cord I found online to graduation. I was never asked to remove it, and wore the emblem with pride as I walked with my fellow graduates. My family all wore cords in my honor as well and they knew what it meant.
I wish everyone who signed my petition luck in their studies and I hope they enjoy that moment of success just like I did.
